Robert's POV

We were just finishing dinner when my phone rung. The number was unfimilar, but I pressed accept anyway.

"Are you the guardian of Ms. Scarlet Powers and Mr. Seth Black?" A male voice asked me.

"Why, yes, I'm their guardian." I answered

"This is officer Martin. We need you to come down to the station now for your children."

"What did they do?!" I started to stand.

"I'll explain when you get here sir."

I hung up. "Marie we need to go, now."

"Why?" She looked alarmed.

"My kids are at the police station."

She gasped and called the waitor over, demanding he hurry.

When we got to the station we got out and practically ran up the steps. We came through the doors to see Seth and another boy sitting on a bench by an officer.

"What is going on here?!" I asked, voice raised.

"Where's Scarlet?!" Marie asked, sounding worried.

Seth began to answer. "Rob, it was Tay-"

And officer cut him off. "Robert Stanley?"

"Yes that's me," I replied.

"Scarlet is being questioned right now. These two boys did a courageous thing."

"What do you mean?" Marie asked.

"We don't have all the details Miss."

Scarlet's POV

I sat in the dim lit room with the officer. The steal chair was cold. I wouldn't make eye contact, an I just couldn't find my voice.

"Miss. Powers, please cooperate. I need you to tell me what happened." The officer said, firmly, but I could feel the comfort in his voice.

"I told him no." I began to sob again.

"I know Scarlet, I know."

"He wasn't going to s-stop!" I choked out.

"Who was this this boy to you?"

"M-my boyfriend.."

"And he's the boy that we brought into custody when we were alerted, correct?"

I nodded, letting out a whimper.

"It's okay Scarlet. We'll have a court hearing in a about a month. He'll be questioned as well."

A month.

Seth's POV

Almost an hour later Scarlet came out with the officer, unable to help myself, I ran over and hugged her tightly. "I'm so sorry," I whispered in her ear. She let out a sob into my shoulder as I rubbed her back.

The car ride home was silent. Marie and Robert sat in the front, while I sat in the middle, between Scar and Daniel. Her head was placed on my shoulder, my arm around her waist. I laid my head on hers. I was thankful to have this back. She was my best friend. She meant the world to me. I just wanted that silent car ride to last. Her crying had ceased, and she began to doze off on me. As I looked down at her, a smiles slightly and kissed her forehead quietly.
