"How did you know?" She asked as she held her head.

"I didn't. I guessed."

"You guessed?"

"I deducted. When we stood there, you didn't look to Moriarty with fear, you looked to me with it. Telling me you were lying. Your eyes kept looking at him, telling me that you had a secret from me-involving him."

"It's not what you said-"

"I know."

"Why would you say it?"

"Because you make me crazy. You make my words come out a string of nonsense. My heart aches just being near you and I've never felt that before." I said in all honesty. Taking a letter from  my pocket, I handed it to her.

"What is it?"

"Irene's letter-" She looked unamused. "I found out something about her today that I had to investigate for myself."

She opened it and began to read it before seeing the tears in my eyes.

"I'm so sorry."

"The first time I met her, it was at case-running. She attacked a man and I saw it, thinking she was a man and she blew me away. I should have known something was too good to be true and I didn't care. I just wanted to be next to her."

"I'm so sorry." She repeated, now with her hand on mine.

"When I watched them lower her body, I couldn't do anything but stare at the dirt. I knew Moriarty did it, but I was wrong. He did, but she wanted him to. She couldn't live with loving two men; me and Moriarty."

"I never loved him. I never loved anyone. I swear it." She said as tears came down her face.

"But you did take a client-under her name."

"To find out who he was-that was all. I could not say that with him there. I was afraid he would hurt her. He then told me he was taking care of me, paying for the brothel to remain. I saw him come in once after her death, I was told he was looking for me but I ignored him-just grieving." She paused. "How did you know it was Michael? For sure?"

"The portrait. It had a date on the bottom when I went back. I realized then she died four years before supposedly Michael did. Therefore, how can she be standing there? I then realized the fact the judge never drank in front of me. It was because he was allowing his son to hide in plain sight-knowing I wouldn't know of her death."

"And Moriarty?"

"Deduction. Guessing. Illogical blabbering."

She smirked. I placed my hand upon her cheek before looking down.

"This is new to me." I said as I looked into her eyes.

"Me too." She whispered as she placed her hands upon my cheeks and kissed me sweetly before the kiss grew more and more intense. It resulted in us partaking in a heated moment. My hands moved about in the way my hormones wanted them to. My lips moved in the opposite directions before landing on her chest. I could feel her try to position herself on top of me which was then I stopped her.

"I'm sorry..."

"Not out here." I said as she jumped to her feet and pulled me into the back room. Locking it tight, she began to untie her lacing before I turned her and did it for her, kissing her exposed neck. She rested her head on my shoulder before she turned and her skirt then dropped-leaving her in just her slip. Her fingers moved then to my jacket then shirt then pants before throwing them on all sides of the room. Taking my arms tight in her grasp, she pulled me down to her before the fireplace which was now lit from her sitting there before my arrival. Her hands played in my hair before she looked into my eyes.

"I love you." She said as she gulped, anxious to hear my response. Although it came out cracked and even hesitant, I truly felt it in return. Closing my eyes, I could not help the overwhelming sensation of giving into my lust. My hands moved from her waist to her face to then her back as she arched it. It resulted in me losing myself and us rolling around until we could no longer take it and released. Within minutes of our session, she fell asleep in my arms and I decided to stay there, thinking about everything that happened.
