Chapter Eight • Freedom?

•Normal P.O.V•
Once Aquarius left everyone sat in silence. Not another word spoken to one another. Cordelia shifted in her seat.

"It's time to turn you in." Erza stated firmly standing up. Everyone gasped.

"What? We're doing no such thing!" Lucy shouted standing as well.

"That was our job, Lucy."

"I don't care! Can't you see? She isn't a bad person!"

Everyone glanced and the light blue haired girl. Was she that bad after all?

"I understand." Cordelia replied standing up holding out her hands. "Do what you must."

Erza walked toward her getting ready to tie her hands, but Natsu pushed them away.

"No." He stood up, hair covering his face. He looked Erza right in the eyes.

"She doesn't deserve to be locked up. She can come back with us, to fairy tail." He stated trying to reason with Titania.

She shook her head, giving him a stern look.

"We don't know anything about this woman." She replied trying to reason with Natsu.

Everyone shook their heads. No one wanted Cordelia to go. She's a dragon slayer she can do so much for the guild.

"What about Jellal?" Lucy muttered. Jellal, Erzas childhood friend. He was possessed by 'Zeref' and killed Simon. Another one of Erzas childhood friends.

"He's done worse than any human being could do. He's killed Simon, he almost killed you! You're willing to put an innocent person like her in jail but not Jellal?" Lucy looked Erza in the eyes placing her hand on the table. Erza looked down and slowly put down the cuffs.

She has a point Erza stated to herself.

"I guess you can come back with us, but we must leave tonight. You can't be seen with us by the guards." Erza smiled faintly getting ready to walk out the door.

Cordelia smiled and grabbed her cloak, placing it over her shoulders pulling her hood up.

Freedom at last for Cordelia.

•Cordelia's P.O.V•
I was so excited I couldn't contain myself. Freedom? I haven't had that in a while.

"Pack your things" Gray said, I didn't have anything to pack. I'm a criminal on the run.

"Nothing for me to pack," I replied, Gray looked in my direction raising his eyebrows. "After all I'm a criminal on the run." I smiled.

"Say that again, and I'll throw you in jail." Erza spat.

What's her problem.

~ nightfall ~

I waited by the tree closest to the surface, as Erza instructed me to do. I faintly saw 5 small figures growing bigger from a distance.

"Ready to go?" Lucy smiled patting my back.

More than ever.
