Danny POV:
I was about to round the corner, in the alleyway, to cut off the convenient store owner, but when I peaked around the corner, I saw Kristen surrounded by, from what I saw four members of the Blue Templar. Then, someone came out of the shadows and started talking to her, I looked at her with anger and pain on my face, and I know that she saw me peak my head around the corner. I could tell, that even though she was keeping her cool and standing her ground, she was still scared. I've known her my whole life and I know that the only things that scare her are losing me, and the Blue Templar. The guy that was talking to her, and I don't exactly know what he said to her, but she obviously didn't want to hear it.
"Just tell me what the hell you want!" I heard her exclaim. I saw him bring his hand up, and backhand her across her face, which didn't sit well with me. I had to compose myself from blowing my cover as to where I was. Then, he said something else and he had his gun pointed at her, and this sent me over the edge. You don't mess with me, my family, or the woman that I love. They grabbed her, throwing her gun and shield to the ground, but not before she could scream out one more thing, my name. "DANNY!" She screamed, and then they knocked her out. I looked, they picked her up, and put her in the back of a black SUV, almost similar to the one that dad is driven around in. I ran out from I was hiding, and ran over to her gun and shield.
"Kristen," I say quietly, almost in tears as I go to the ground and pick her gun and shield up. I stood up, ran to my car, pulled out my cell, and I called dad.
"This is the Commissioner," Dad answered.
"Dad, it's Danny," I reply.
"Danny what's going on?"
"Can we meet up somewhere, please?"
"Yeah, are you hungry?"
"Not really, but I wouldn't mind meeting up for coffee."
"Alright, I'll meet you at the cafe not far from 1PP."
"Okay thanks dad."
"Sure thing son." I know exactly what cafe he's talking about so I head there. I get there before he does, and I just break down in my car. When I see dad pull up, I place Kristen's shield and her 9mm Silver Glock in my glove compartment, and get out of my car. I go inside before dad walks in, get a table, order our coffees, and then a minute later dad walks in. I stand up when he comes closer, with his detail right behind him.
"As you were Detective Reagan," dad answered. I sit back down and then he does, then he asks me this. "Danny, what's going on?"
"It's Kristen," I say.
"Baker," Dad said, turning to his detail.
"Yes sir?" Baker asked.
"Can you go outside and wait please?"
"Sure thing sir." Baker and the rest of his detail go outside the cafe, then dad turned back to face me.
"Danny what happened?" Dad asked, heavily concerned.
"Kristen and I were out on our tour, got a call about shots being fired at a convenient store, or that's what we thought," I began. "We walked in, flashed our badges, and the store owner acted like he didn't know anything about shots being fired."
"Okay, go on."
"The owner ran, we had to split up, and they got her."
"Who got her?"
"The Templar." I was getting to the point where I couldn't hold it in anymore, but I can't break down, not again.
"Danny, look at me." I looked at him, and I know that I was on the verge of tears. "Hey we're going to find her, trust me."
