*alarm*

As it went off I woke up from my luxurious bed.
I removed the silk covers off me and got off the bed.

Wore my expensive robe and tied my hair up, and started getting ready for my day.

I called my personal secretary. "Hey Jack." I said.

"What's my schedule for today?" I asked while preparing my coffee. The French cook was doing me some Italian breakfast.

" school for three hours today. Your grandmother said she needs to talk to you." He answered my question annoyed that I woke him up early even though it's his job.

"Why?" I asked confused," she didn't tell me anything yesterday when we were on the phone." I answered.

"She wants you to have lunch with the family." He said while making some alien-like noise.
He always does that when he wakes up.

"But today isn't family day, is it?" I asked looking at my watch "it's Tuesday. We usually have the family meeting on Saturday, what is it today that's so important for me to skip school?" I answered getting all annoyed now.

"She said she wants you to meet someone." He answered while pouring coffee.

"Is this another blind date?" I asked placing down my mug.

"I don't know, just go with it. She was already mad that you skipped the last blind date, and I almost got fired for that!" He answered getting a little angry at the end.

"Hey! You know that only I can fire you, right?" I snickered.

"You little.." Before he could even continue I hung up.

Let me introduce myself I'm Ashlie Goldsteins.
My family owns a famous electronics company, departure store, and mostly schools and other small stuff that I don't really care about.

You get it that I'm rich, filthy rich.

But I'm not like the ones you see on Korean dramas and tvs. I turn into bitch when it comes to business.

I'm the youngest and only heiress to my fathers company.

Why?

Because I worked hard for it and my older siblings started their own business and are already successful and wealthy enough.

I'm 17 years old, turning 18 in 3 weeks.
I live alone even though I'm still young.

Why?

I hate living with my parents in the main house.

My grandmother only had my father so it makes him the only heir to that company at that time.

But my family has a tradition that the man marries women and divorces them when they deliver the first child.

They do this every 10 years, it had to be my father's luck.

My father married 4 wives in addition to my mother summing up to 5 wives in total.

I have 4 half-siblings all thanks to that tradition.

All my father's wives live in the main house. Even though each one of them has her own
property.

But it's another tradition that the woman would own properties but live in the main house.

That's why I don't like living there, non of us siblings does. Imagine having to see 4 divorced-wives arguing over whose makeup is better or who has the limited edition handbag and stuff like that.

Why did I say 4 wives not 5?

It's because my mother died when I was barely 3. I don't remember her but I think it's for better.

I got into my uniform and took my designer  backpack that dad bought me and was out the door already.

Jack was waiting for me. Opened the door for me and we were off to school.

The school that I attend is one of the schools my family owns.

It's a school for elite students. As you can see all who attend this school are rich and most of them are going to inherit their parent's business some day.

Business life:

If your friend's father's company didn't invest in your company. You can't be friends. That's how you live, that's how I lived all my life.
Doing what is best for my family's company.
If someone's company goes bankrupt. You have to help in any way. How and why?
By buying from whatever they sell to help them. And when I say buy it's not buy like a a couple of coats or boots. But you but tons of stuff. Spend money like a maniac.

Why?

Because when that company goes back on to its feet they have no choice but to invest in your company.

Give and take

I have one friend that thank god isn't related to any of this. Why?
She's the granddaughter of my grandmother's secretary.
My Grandmother paid for everything for her to get into the same high school as me. She and I have been friends ever since childhood.
She's a person I can tell everything to.
I thank god that she isn't one of the people on this chess board. I won't have to worry about parting ways with her someday.
Her name is Matilda.
I loved her name ever since we were young.
We once cried together because we wanted to switch names badly we were only 6 back then.
Im bilingual in many languages
I speak 7 different languages.
Korean is my mother tongue and English is my second.
My father is Korean but my mother was British. But I learned Korean as my mother tongue since my father was the one who raised me.
I also speak Spanish, Japanese, German, Italian, and lastly Chinese.
Wondering why I learned so many. Because our company has expanded to these countries. I need to Learn them since I go onto many business trips.
After school I left with Jack to go to the main house.
It took us a couple of minutes until we reached the house.
Jack parked in front of the entrance and opened the door for me.
"Let's have dinner together tonight, I'll also invite Matilda." I told him as I got off. We always do. He's like an older brother to me. He's a person that I cherish. He always played with Matilda and I ever since we were young.
Both of them are people that I really care about.
He refused,"I already have dinner plans." He answered putting my
Coat around me.
"With who?" I asked curiously.
"College friends." He answered.
"Don't get drunk!" I said while getting into the house.

As I walked, the expensive floor reflecting my image. I never liked this house.
My other mothers would get a renovation frequently.
They change things a lot.
One time it's a medieval theme castle. The next it's a Japanese traditional house.
And it always sucks.
Because they always fight that the walls don't match the porcelain vase.
I seriously can't understand how my grandmother can keep up with their nagging and childish acts.
I asked one of the maids where was my grandmother.
They answered that she was in the garden.
I went there only to see my grandmother, father, and all the wives were there.
Another man was also there also that man's family was there too. I recognized him the moment I saw him.
He's the CEO of an electric company that does phones, televisions, automobiles and so on.
He's really young for a CEO.
But what was he doing here?
"What is going on here?" I asked after I paid my respect.
"Ashlie, meet your husband." My grandmother smiled at me and pointed to James Diamond, the CEO.
"What?!" We both asked looking at each other's then looking at our families.
