•James POV•
Did I just think of her as cute? Must be because of all the stress and work.
I looked at my watch and it was already getting late.
"Mrs. Goldsteins, it's getting late. Come I'll drop you off." I told her.
She thought about it for a moment and then nodded her head.
"Come lets go." I ordered her as I stood up and got a car keys ready.
I opened the door for her and she hopped into it.
I went to my side and started the car.
I knew where she lived, her grandmother said that we'll live in that house when we get married. She said something about it being important to her.
"Why do you like that house so much?" I asked while taking glances at her.
"Just..because I just do." She answered nonchalantly.
"A secret?" I asked later.
"Something like that." She said looking at her phone.
"You're 18?" I asked trying to start a conversation.
"In 3 weeks, you?" She said.
"I'm 23." I answered.
"Grandpa.." She whispered.
"Hey!" I retorted as she started laughing.
We passed by the gates and I dropped her off in front of her house.
"Don't forget at 7." I smiled and saw her scoff and enter her house.
I then left to my own house.• Ashlie's POV•
I entered my house, took off my coat, shoes and threw them away.
Such a day, I thought.
I changed into some comfy cloth and slept.***
I was eating my breakfast after getting ready to go to school.
I had an exam today, mid-term exams to be more precise.
I was revising some more points to make sure I was ready.***
"How was the exam?" Matilda asked as we sat down to have lunch.
I was sipping on my strawberry milk.
I nodded indicating it was good.
"Easy." I answered nonchalantly.
"For you.." She whispered.
"Hey! Was it hard?" I asked turning to her.
"I didn't study.." She trailed off.
"Don't tell me you are dating someone!" I caught up fast.
"Maybe." She rolled her eyes.
"You're dead." I told her.
"Anyways, I heard you were engaged." She changed the subject.
I nodded not interested at all.
"Who's he?" She asked.
"James Diamond." I answered looking at the time on my watch.
"Seriously?!" She asked getting all excited.
"What's with you?" I asked looking at her.
"He's every girls' dream." She fantasied.
"Hey! Get your head back you idiot." I smacked the back of her head.
"I'm not doing this marriage." I answered fiddling with my fingers.
"What? What about your grandmother and the company. You know you won't become the official heiress of it if you don't have your own heir." She answered pouting.
"Even if I marry him. My name will change to his family name. This may even make all the properties that I will inherit change to the name Diamond." I answered. "I can't believe grandma didn't think of this before arranging this marriage." I sighed and fell back on the bench to stare at the sky.
"What's wrong with it being my name?" A familiar voice said.
I sat back fast to make sure.
"What the hell are you doing here?" I asked annoyed.
"Visiting my fiancée." He smiled.
"Are to crazy? Go away." I said as I got up and started to leave.
When I passed by him. He grabbed my forearm to stop me, gave me a kiss to my cheeks and left me.
It took me some times until everything sank into my brain.
I bet I looked like an idiot staring at his back until he disappeared.
"Wow." I could heard Matilda mutter behind my back.***
After a long day at school. I couldn't help but sleep in and be late to my date. It's not like I was going anyways.
I was preparing for myself a snack since I didn't eat lunch when the doorbell rang.
No way.
I thought. He wouldn't come would he?
I went to open the door, to see no other than him.
"You must be joking.." I muttered under my breath.
"Would I be standing here if I did?" He asked as he got in and set the gift he got on my coffee table and plotted onto the couch.
"Excuse me?" I asked why the hell was he getting comfy in someone else's house.
"What?" He smirked at me getting my stomach to feel sick.
Disgusting.
"Get out." I ordered politely.
"I heard when we'll get married, we'll be living here." He changed the subject looking around the house totally ignoring what I just had said.
"Didn't you hear what I said? Get out." I raised my voice a little getting already impatient.
"The interior design is good." He commented, "did you design it yourself?" He asked.
"Get out before I call the police and accuse you of assault." I threatened him.
"I have papers that I'm your fiancé, they'll just call you an idiot, and your face will be over the news tomorrow." He snorted back.
I lost my mind for a second. How am I supposed to live with such an idiot?
I got my coat off the rack and left the house.***
I was drinking the coffee I ordered in one of the famous cafes around my neighborhood.
Something vibrated in my pocket. Probably my phone.
I took it out and looked at the name ID.
It was my grandma.
James probably called her and told her that I left home.
I declined the call and turned off my phone.
I'm not in the mood.
I laid my head on the table and enjoyed the view outside. Counting how many cars passed by my eyes.
Couple of minutes later it was getting already late.
I drank the last bit of my coffee and started to leave.
When someone's hand caught my wrist.
I looked up to see who it is.
It was non other than him.
"What?" I asked annoyed.
"Don't leave like that, tell me from now on where are you, okay?" He said gently.
"What? Are you crazy! We aren't even married yet!" I answered annoyed.
"What business does it have with you!" I raised my voice a little earning stares and glares from the customers around.
He grabbed my wrist and pulled me outside the cafe.
"I was worried." He answered softy.
