"What did you just say?" I asked after I calmed down a little bit.
I was sitting with grandmother in another room, alone.
"You were going to get married anyways? Why are you getting all worked up?" Grandmother asked calmly as she started pouring me some tea.
"Grandmother! I'm only 17 for god's sake!" I declared.
"18" she corrected me.
"Is that what's important now?" I asked getting annoyed.
"Lady! Watch your tongue and attitude, no one wants a fool-mouthed wife." She advised me.
"That would be better." I said as I started to get up.
"If you don't marry him and produce a heir by the next year, do you know what does it mean?" She asked me.
I stopped mid-way.
"What?" I asked.
"You won't succeed your father, you know you must have a heir." She told me as she sipped her tea.
"You know that non other than me can succeed him." I smirked knowing the truth.
As I said from before all the siblings started their own business and are all around the world.
"Jacob is still in Korea, and his wife is pregnant. I don't think you want him to succeed your dad. Do you?" She asked knowing my answer.
Jacob is my older half brother he's 4 years older than me and he's born from Melissa, my dad's forth wife. Grandmother told me that she and my mom were enemies. She hated my mother so much.
She hates me too, but loves me in front of dad.
"Of course no." I muttered.
"Then get married." She said
"Is he okay with this?" I asked her referring to James.
"He knows what's best for his company and future." She told me
I rolled my eyes, business men.
"Go on a date with him this weekend." She ordered me.
"What! No no no.." I said.
She glared at me and I had no choice but to accept it.
"I'm leaving." I said
I left her room and was on my way to my car when a hand grasped my arm stopping me.
I looked up to non other than him.
Just my luck.
I raised an eyebrow at him.
"I'll pick you up tomorrow at 7, wear a dress." He told me totally not interested.
"Dream." I told him.
Shook his hands and began to leave.
My phone started to ring, I stopped to answered it. It was an unknown number.
I answered, "hello?" I asked.
"Don't forget at 7." I heard a familiar voice.
I looked around to see James holding a phone and smiling at me.
"What the actual.." Before I could even finish he hung up.
He started to leave before me.
"Hey! I'm not marrying you!" I raised my voice a little bit.
He stopped mid-way and turned around to me, and walked back to stand in front of me.
"I think you need this marriage more than me." He snorted and patted my head.
"Asshole." I said under my breath.
"Don't worry, I'll divorce you after my heir is born." He assured me.
"I think you're mistaken Mr. Diamond." I smiled slyly.
"What am I mistaken in Mrs. Goldstein?" He asked using formal tone and last name.
"I'm keeping the heir, that's why I refused to this marriage. If you're okay with me keeping the baby then we can't divorce." I smiled.
"Okay no problem." He smirked at me.
I looked confused at him.
"I'd rather marry you than some clingy girl." He told me honesty.
I get what he means, he's what a girl looks for in a man wealth and the looks.
He has them both.
"Are you drooling over me?" He smirked. Jerk.
"Hah, you wish." I snorted back and left the house.
Jack was waiting for me, he opened the car's door and I entered.
"Take me to the park." I told him.
I always went there when I had some thinking to do.
My grandmother told that I always went there with my mother.
I smiled even though I don't remember.
I started walking and then sat in my favorite swing.
I started swinging as a middle schooler.
But who cares? Little kids were watching me and then they came up to me.
"I saw you on the tv!" A little boy told me.
"You're beautiful!" He blushed and looked down.
I smiled at how cute he was.
"You know something?" I asked getting all of them excited.
"You'll be very handsome when you grow up." I touched his nose.
"Really?!" He got all excited.
"What about us?" The other little kids asked.
"All of you will be very beautiful and handsome." They started dancing around.
I smiled at how cute they were.
"You seem really good with kids." I looked to the side at the sound. It was non other than him.
He came and sat next to the swing that I was on.
"Who is he?" The little kids asked.
Before I could open my mouth
"Her fiancé." He answered cooly.
All the little kids gasped.
"But, you're young." A little girl was pouting at me.
I shrugged my shoulder.
"Do you little ones wanna play?" I asked changing the mood and subject.
We started turning around in circles and running after one another.•James point of view•
I usually come to this park after work.
I was walking when I saw Ashlie talking to some little kids. I walked up to her and said
"You seem really good with the kids." I sat next to her on the swing. She looked up to me with a surprised look.
"Who is he?" A little girl asked.
Before she could answer I answered fast
"Her fiancé." I smiled at her.
A little girl came up to her pouting and said "but you're still young." Ashlie only shrugged.
"Do you little ones wanna play a game?" She asked as she got up.
They started running after each other's.
Smiling thinking that would be my wife.
Wait what?! What did I just think of?
I looked at her just to see her smiling at me.
I looked down blushing. Why is my heart fluttering?
