Chapter four. The Curse and Deaths kiss

"Well? Then what happened?" I broke the silence when he paused for breath. He shook his head as my impatience got the better of me. He then opened his mouth once more to speak, the life nearly coming to a halt in his eyes.

"As Solis stood in the city, she saw a dense black smoke resembling fire itself. A man or... skeleton ran by her, carrying death in his eyes and filth in his breath. One finger urged her to remain silent. This was when she was knocked to her feet. She had been cursed by death himself."

"What was the curse?" I asked for he had not yet spoke of it, only of that strange queen... What was her name? Solist? Why was he talking about her so much? What does she have to do with me? And what was so important about her? All these questions were running through my head as he began to swallow lightly, gazing over my face after hinting, "She bore the curse of the voices and the curse of pure disfigurement. Half her face covered in hideous burns and scars. It was not until she sat on the throne as queen that she donned the same mask you have been cursed with. All her anguish, anger, and evil even were placed within it." I shook my head filing to see where I played into this little story. Montague smiled lightly before edging back a little bit. "... and you my dear are her predecessor... Princess." His last word was just only a mere whisper, sending chills down my spine.

"H-how is that possible?" I murmured, feeling as if my whole life was a lie. A web of lies, one that went too far.

"You see that woman you called 'mother' found you as a baby.” You were found wrapped in a potato sack in a ditch." He shook his head stiffly then completely stopped taking. I sat, with half my mouth hanging wide open. What? What was he insinuating about me? I felt excided and scared all at the same time. But, why me? And in all this time I just noticed how naked he was. I realized he was wearing nothing. Shocked I squeaked, then ran from the room. "Princess!? What’s wrong??" he asked confused by my sudden shock. He looked down and chuckled lightly realizing his dressing or lack of them. I sighed lightly, shaking my head before, without thinking, started packing a bag. He seemed unfazed by it before he threw some bed sheets around himself as a barbaric attempt of clothing. I walked right back into the room with a bag strung over my shoulder.

"Where to Montague?" I laughed at its rhyme.
