Chapter 2 - The new guy

I walk as fast as I can through the the corridor even when I know I'm already late, I really do hope that I won't get embarrassed in class. 1A, 2A, 3A it says on the door signs when I walk past them. "Here it is, 1C!" I found my classroom. I opened the door to the classroom and saw, I think it was at least 20 students starring at me, waiting for me to say something. I already knew some of them.

"Well, you must be Alaina." The teacher said.

"Yes, miss..."

"Well your late. Go and take a seat." The teacher said. "Yes Alaina! Go and take a seat!" Some guy sitting further back in the classroom said in a teasing way while his friends where laughing at it. "Shut up, you idiots!" Said Mira who already was a friend of mine. I walked against Mira's table and sat down beside her.

"Hey Alaina" Mira says in a flattering way. "Hi" I say at the same time as I open my math book. A few minutes later a new guy comes in to the room and says "sorry that I'm late miss brown." And just walks through the classroom down to a chair further back in the classroom. The teacher looks very surprised after the new guys entrance into the classroom. "Ugh, what is that smell?" I hear Mira say, and I have to say that it really did smell weird "I think it's the new guy." I said, but not in a mean way, I was curious about him.

How could he know the teachers name and why wasn't he even talking to the teacher or anyone else?
What was that smell?
He didn't say a word to anyone for the hole day. He was acting very strange and it definitely was something mysterious about him. As I already asked myself, how could he know the teachers name when he didn't already know her?

What was his name, who was he and why is he so mysterious. I felt like I really had to know him. I had to... It felt like it took forever until lunch, but now it was.

I walked to my locker, opened it and put my homework in it. "Alaina! Alaina! Hey Alaina!" I heard two people yelling from a distance. I turned around and I saw Jennifer and Mira coming to me. I already knew Jennifer from the last year. "Hey Jennifer! It was such a long time since we met." I said to Jennifer. They had now stopped walking against me and they where at least standing 3 meters away from me. "Hi Mira." I said and smiled against both of them.

We where talking about school and other stuff for a while until I saw that mysterious guy walking to the left of us. I studied him for a while, he didn't talk to anyone as usual. He had dark brown hair, almost as white skin as me. But I couldn't see his eyes before he was already gone.

"Alaina! Can you here us?" Jennifer says.
"I'm sorry, I just saw a thing I was interested in." I said and turned around fast to see if he was still there, which he wasn't.

The time is about 3 a clock and the school is over, so we all walked out of the classroom, the mysterious guy wasn't in class for the rest of the day after lunch. I wonder where he left, I'm going home anyway. So I walk through the corridor, this time away from the classroom. When I was outside the school Jennifer came to me and said "hey, I'm having a party! Do you want to come?" But I didn't really want to come today, so I just answered that I might come over some other time. I had to go home to my sisters. When I got onto the bus I met my sister Mollie. "What's up Alaina?" She said, sounding happy. "Hi. It's all good. How are you?" I asked her.
"Well, it's better then ever." She said. I could see that she was very happy about something.
"What happened to you? You sound so happy." I said while smiling.
"It's about a boy. He's really cute." She said.

Wow, she had a boyfriend. I was really happy for her sake. We talked in the bus for the hole time. When we came home I took of my jacket and shoes, walked directly to my bed and just rested. The time was 4 a clock, so I wasn't gonna sleep yet.

I was just thinking about this new guy. Who was he? I had to talk to him tomorrow, because it was something special about him. I hope he's gonna be at the school tomorrow.

"Hey everyone!" I hear someone yell from a distance at the same time as she close the door. It must be Alicia, and it sounds like she have bicycled or something because she sound exhausted.

Me and Mollie came down from upstairs to say hi to our sister. "Hi, how are you?" I asked her.
"It's all good. How was it at school?" She asked us. Mollie and I told her our own stories of the day. But I didn't tell anyone of them about the new guy. It was a secret for now.

"Okay. So have anyone seen Claire?" Alicia asked.
"Nope! She's probably with her friends and doing something she shouldn't." Mollie says.
A few seconds later Claire opens the door and comes in to the house saying "what shouldn't I do?" In a way sounding like she didn't like us talking about her while she's not here.
"It's nothing" Alicia said.
Me and Mollie said almost the same thing.

"Okay then. What do you want to eat?" Alicia asks us.
"I'm gonna go up to my room. I'm not so hungry." Claire says. Claire doesn't sound so good, and it looks like Alicia sees that to, but no one of us asks her what it is about.
"Neither am I. I'm going out" Mollie says before she open the door and leaves the house.
"Okay, so then it's just us left. What do you want to eat?." She asks in a sadder way then before.
"You choose." I say in a positive way to make her happier, which I see she becomes after I said that.

After we ate I walked upstairs to my room. I felt very tired in my body after the long day so I decided to go to sleep. In bed I was thinking about that mysterious guy again. I had to get to know him.
