Three days later, Jase got a call from our parents saying that their plane had got in early and they wanted him to go pick them up. Why they called him and not me, I have no idea.

"I'm going, see you in an hour or two" Jase yells up the stairs to me.

"See ya" I call back to him. I pull my favourite green hoodie over my head (The same one I was wearing the day I left Nepal, except it is a lot cleaner now) and am about to open my bedroom door when someone opens it from the other side.

"Where is Jase going?" Alfie questions, looking worried.

"He's going to go pick up my parents from the airport. They were only supposed to get back tonight but their plane got in early. Now you should really go get dressed." I shoo him out of my room and he runs down the hallway to his room (Which used to be the guest room.)

My phone starts ringing in my pocket and I pull it out and accept the call.

"Hey Izzy"

"Oh my god! I haven't seen you since you just disappeared from the airport. Jack said you had gone home, how are you? How is Alfie?"

I laugh "I'm fine, so is Alfie. It's a good thing my parents aren't home yet because I think they would have had a fit if they saw me arrive home with a child."

"When are they coming home?"

"Jase has just gone to pick them up from the air port. I hope they won't mind too much. About Alfie I mean."

"I'm bored, I'm coming over. See you in a bit. Oh and I almost forgot, I'm bringing my straightener so that you can straighten my hair for me. It's too hard for me to do it myself. Bye!"

"Okay" I laugh "See you soon"

I end the call and walk down the stairs to the kitchen. Izzy normally asks Paige to straighten her hair or do her hair for her because Paige is amazing with hair. She also sometimes gets her sister, Madeline to do it when she's home. Madeline is three years younger than us but she is drop dead gorgeous. All the guys in her year are falling over themselves to get a chance with her, and even some of the older guys as well. Madeline has stormy grey eyes, wavy dark brown hair that is died blonde at the tips and is nearly as long as Izzy's when Izzy straightens hers, and she is slim. She always wears whatever the latest fashion is, or whatever is trending, and always, always, looks absolutely perfect.

I wonder why Izzy's asking me today and not Madeline or Paige....

Alfie comes running into the kitchen in corduroy pants and a loose grey T-shirt with an un-zipped black jacket over the T-shirt.

"Can I have some breakfast?" He asks. For some reason he has heaps of energy today, more energy than he's had since he's come here.

"What do you say when you want something?"

"Can have some breakfast please?"

"Sure" I laugh "I'll make bacon and eggs, just let me get the bacon out"

I open the fridge and get out what I need, then I place a large frying pan onto the stove and brake three eggs into it.

"Why three?" Alfie asks from his seat on the island in the middle of the kitchen.

"My friend is coming round. The one with the big red hair. Remember her?"

Alfie shakes his head.

"Oh well. Do you want a drink?"

He nods his head.

"Why aren't you talking?"

He shrugs his shoulders.
