This face sends chills down my spine. I stand still analyzing that these may be my last moments of life. I quickly swing my elbow up and slam his jaw. It was a zombie of all things. Face to face with me.
I look over at Lane. He slowly opens his eyes and stands up like nothing happened. He's okay? How the fuck? He gets a weird stare from me.
"What?" He asks
"Your okay??"
"Yea. One of the things most people don't know is when you are faced with a zombie, you're supposed to 'drop dead'." He explains.
"No shit." I start to walk off in the opposite direction.
"Where are you going?" He calls to me. I continue my stride.
"Are you just going to stand there or come?? If there's one zombie there has to be more and I don't intend on giving up just yet." He comes up beside me. We walk side by side down the long white halls. We come to an intersection. Blood is smeared on the walls. I hold my weapon out ready to charge and kill anything 'un-dead'. "Which way is the way out?" I say quietly.
"Go left." We slowly and cautiously make our way across the intersection and into the hall on the left. We turn that way and there are three zombies. They all turn our way.
"Shit!" I mumble under my breath. The zombies start making their way towards us. I throw one of my throwing knives and it hits one of them in the shoulder. I missed?! I throw another, hitting its eye making it fall.
I run up and pull my knives out of it. I look up just as a zombie charges my way. I slash its throat killing it for good. Lane charges the last zombie hitting it with the stock of his gun.
We practically run the rest of the way out of the building unsure of what to expect should come next.
