After about five minutes of hugging and tears we finally break apart. I look at the face.
"Jonas!! I can't believe you're alive!! I thought you had died!!" I cry out.
"...Jonas?" Lane speaks up. My eyes widen.
"Woah woah woah woah!! Wait!! You guys know eachother???"
"Yea." Jonas replies.
"I'm the one who found him in the woods. I felt for a pulse and there wasn't one. I gave him mouth to mouth and brought him to the facility we were at then i met you and the zombies.." He trailed off.
"I'm just glad you're okay." I tell Jonas.
"Where's Dustin?" Jonas asks looking around, almost expecting him to emerge from the shadows or something. I get a little quieter
"He.. umm.. was attacked as we were trying to escape a horde of zombies and uhh.. died.. I'm sorry Jonas.." My voice cracks and i start crying again as the memories flood my mind. Jonas engulfs me into a hug.
"It's okay.. You're okay.. I'm okay.." His voice cracks as well as we start crying again.
A couple of minutes go by and he gently takes my face and makes me face him and he wipes away the tears that stained my face.
"Jean.. It's not your fault. I'm sure you did everything you could. I know you would've. He's in a better place now and his death was not in vein." He hugs me again in reassurance. I cheer up a bit.
"We have this shack over here if you need a place to stay." I offer.
"Actually I have something better." He smirks."Follow me."

We walk up to this full on village, but not just any village. This village had protection: cement walls that are 15 feet tall with barbed wire at the top with a steel gate that had solid steel slide locks. He whistled a whistle as if it were a command to open the gate. The gates were surprisingly quiet. Once they were open, we walked in. There were soldier like people guarding the gate. They checked us to make sure we weren't infected. We went on our way into the little village with a huge wall (((a/n: i just realized the attack on titan reference i had made x.x))).
This other girl comes running up to Jonas and they hug.
"Ummm.. Who's this?" I ask, as my curiosity button has been pushed.
"This is Marie." He introduces us and the girl waves to me.
"I'm Jean." I wave back, introducing myself.
"Now, if you will follow me, i will show you to where you can stay for when you are here." Jonas starts walking off with the rest of us following close behind. He comes up to a small little house. It appeared to be a one bedroom house. "This is where you and Lane will be staying. It is a one bedroom house with a bathroom kitchen living room and washer room. Oh, and there's a small back yard with privacy. We want the people who are living here to feel safe and comfortable. You two can go on in and Marie and I are always around if you have any questions." He droned on and we soon walked into the tiny house.
"Looks like yet another new start." I say. Lane nods in agreement.
