After their eating discussion, Dan and Phil went on about their normal day, what with creating new content for their fans and thoroughly embarrassing themselves on the internet, for that was what they get paid to do.
Phil sat in his bedroom across the hall from Dan. He was sitting on his blue and green patterned duvet with his head up against his headboard, laptop on his stomach. He was incredibly tired for someone who had a great night's sleep, so he just scrolled through tumblr in hopes to find something to entertain him. Phil did this frequently for he didn't have to work from 9 to 5 like most mature adults. He decided to look through his AmazingPhil tag to admire his fans' work.
Across the hallway, however, Dan was recording his newest main channel video and was speaking rather loudly.
"Hello internet!" he began, "As you may remember, a couple years back I made a series called 'Reasons Why Dan's a Fail,' which led to huge embarrassment and apparently very relateable content."
"So since I've been sort of slacking off with that, I decided to continue. But in a season two kind of form if you will with Reasons Why Dan's a Fail 2.0!" he smiled. "This is what I do for a living oh my god... I'm gonna cut that." Dan laughed.
"So today, I'm going to look back on my failures and see if I actually improved on them. Starting with Butterfingers."
All of a sudden, both Dan and Phil heard sirens coming from outside their windows. Phil merely stared outside from his bed, but Dan just looked annoyed.
"Can't you murder someone on another street?" Dan yelled. They both waited, from their bedrooms, for the sirens to cease, but they never did. Eventually, Dan turned off the camera and walked over to Phil's room. The door creaked open and revealed a human with shaggy hair next to the window, staring outside of it.
"What in the bloody hell is going on outside?" asked Dan, his hands on his hips. Phil remained silent, staring intently through the window. Dan sighed and walked over next to Phil to see what exactly he was staring at.
Just outside their apartment, there were ambulances and police cars lining up the previously busy London street. Men held guns in their hands and body bags covered the street. Dan looked away in disgust, rubbing his eyes in doubt that what he was seeing was real. Phil continued to stare out the window.
"Phil, we need to get out of here," Dan gasped while pacing back and forth around the room.
"Dan, we can't," said Phil, finally turning away from the scene.
"We need to at least get off this street. Let's go to PJ's. It's not too far away."
"Dan, the royal guard is c-" At that moment, Phil was cut off by a deafening sound, echoing throughout the apartment. Dan and Phil covered their ears, cowering to the ground. After a few moments, the sounds of gunshots were gone. Phil slowly stood back up in his place.
"We need to leave."

Since the siren incident, Dan and Phil went straight to packing a backpack. In it, there were a few extra changes of clothes, their computers with chargers, some water bottles and a bit of food. They also decided to pack their cameras, making sure that they would still film during their stay at PJ's house.
At about 6pm, they were ready to go. Their plan was to sneak out of the apartment and walk in the alleyways of London until they got to their destination.
"This is the most ridiculous idea ever."
"I know, Dan, but we need to get out before a bullet reaches our window."
"So your solution is to sneak around the people with weapons, hope they don't spot two giants walking around, and make it to PJ's in the night? Great idea."
"Let's go." Dan and Phil had made it to their front door and were about to exit. As Dan put his hand on the doorknob, and as Phil said goodbye to the walls of the flat, a noise came from the other side of the door. A knock. A rather loud knock.
"Don't open it!" whispered Phil, who was going into panic mode. The strangers screamed from the other side of the door.
"LET US IN QUICK!"
