People always say that there's always another fish in the sea. What I don't get is why they never tell you that the fish you're looking for, will never compare to the great white shark that ripped a chunk of you away, and left you when he realized you weren't quite what he wanted. They also don't tell you that once you pick the "next fish", you're always going to be stuck with the gruesome scar of that first shark of a love. The scar is the worst. The crippling, breathtaking pain of how you got it may not be there, but the scar it left is, just to make sure you never forget how it felt.
