Minato smiled as he watched his son read for three hours straight.
"He's so dedicated to this. Kushina would be so proud of him...."
"Argh! Stupid book! You don't make any sense!"
"Spoke too soon." He laughed and then settled down once more to see how his son would handle this.
"All it says it you have to flick your wrist a certain way but it doesn't tell you how!" Naruto threw the book down and then grabbed one of the Kunai from his drawer. Carefully, with small deep strokes, he carved a bullseye target into the wall next to his bed.
"There. Now all I have to do is figure out that wrist flip thing!" And that's exactly what Naruto did.
For four hours.
"Argh! Fine! I'll surrender to you today wall but I'll be back tomorrow!" And with that the Kunai was gently sharpened and placed back in its drawer. Naruto looked around before his stomach grumbled.
"How long was I working?! Man I'll just have to cook some Ramen!" Within ten minutes the quick cook food was made and devoured. Bright blue eyes stared at the empty bowl before slowly sliding over to the rest of the Instant Ramen piled on the counter.
"Two more couldn't hurt...."
