( I added an addition to the ending)
Lauren stood next to the casket, staring, her eyes were dried out she couldn't cry anymore. She lost Camila, her love, her wife, her one and only. She knew it was coming but not like this, it shouldn't have happened like this. Sofia came up to Lauren tugging on the hem of her dress. Lauren peered over her shoulder taking sight of the little girl who resembles Camila too well.

"I can't see. I want to see her." Says Sofia, Lauren lifted the little girl in her arms, her little black dress was so big on her. She stared at Camila.

"Karla," Sofia reached out for her, "you promised you'll never leave me." Sofia pleaded.

"She didn't leave Sofia," Lauren whispers, fixing the child's hair.

"She is just in a deep sleep, shes off to a better place, but she's still with us." Lauren says, the little girl sharply turned her head to her sister-in-law.

"She is?" Asks Sofia.

"Who do you think wanted you to be named Sofia?" Ally's voice croaks from behind her.

"My mom?" The little girl asks confused.

"No,Mila did, she begged for you to be that name." Ally says

"She did?" Sofia's spirit grew brighter.

"Yes, that's how you have her." Lauren reassures her.

"And you have the ring." Sofia snags Lauren's hand, "she does too." She pointed to Camila's wedding band.

"She sure does," Lauren says.

"What about you, Ally?" Asks Sofia.

"I have her in pictures." Ally says

"Hey," Normani's voice is barely over a whisper, her hand touchs Lauren's shoulder to get her attention.

"Hey," Lauren gives her a smug smile that quickly fades as she turns to face her childhood friend, her golden earrings shinned in the light. Dinah stood idly  behind her, Lauren handed Sofia off to Ally so she can talk to her friends. She loathed leaving Camila's side, but this was a necessary walk.

"How you holding up?" Asks Dinah

"Well, I'm all out of tears to cry with." Lauren sighs.

Normani's pouted, "c'mere." She wraps her arms around Lauren's shoulders pulling her in for a hug. Lauren kept her arms at her sides as if she lost all feeling in her body. She needed Camila's hug, not Normani. Then again, they wouldn't be here if Camila didn't die. Dinah tapped Normani on the shoulder to take Lauren away.

"Did you eat today?" Asks Dinah.

"Not really, I'm not hungry, I had a little meal from the cafeteria in the other room." Lauren shrugged.

"Did you finish it?" Asks Dinah.

"No, I started crying." Says Lauren.

Dinah sighs, "you need to eat." She says.

"I know, but I can't." Says Lauren.

"Come on," Dinah grabs Lauren's arm, "I'm taking you to the cafeteria." she says.

"But Dinah-" Lauren began to whine

"No buts." Dinah cut her off. They enter the cafeteria Dinah shoved Lauren to sit at a table and grabbed food, not too much just enough to eat without stuffing yourself.

"Here," Dinah hands Lauren a plate.

"Dinah, please." Lauren whined.

"Lauren, I'm not about to loose my best friend."
