"Master?" A demon fell to his knees outside of Lucifer's tent. "Enter," Lucifer casually ordered. The demon hurried in with a smile. "I have news," he stated. Lucifer rolled his eyes. "Why else would you be here?" He asked, slightly irritated. The demon's smile grew. "I have prepared a man by the name of Marc to snatch the girl we need and bring her to your hands." Lucifer looked up with interest, his eyes bright with greed. "When will she be delivered?" The demon grinned. "When we attack their tiny group, the man will join our army, the girl in hand." Lucifer's gleeful expression fell to a scowl. "You fool!" He yelled, shattering a mirror above the demon's head. The pieces showered into his hair as he shook with fright. "Master I don't underst-"
"We don't have an army," Lucifer growled. The demon lowered his eyes. "I told him we would collect her at the next battle," the demon barely whispered, hoping his master would not hear. "You what?" Lucifer raged. The demon stepped back as Lucifer stood angrily. "Do you know how hard it is to prepare an army in such short notice?" The demon shook his head. Lucifer took a deep breath as the demon took a cautious step forward. "Master, is now a good time to talk about my promotion?" Lucifer looked at the demon with confusion, debating if he was stupid or not. "You know," the demon continued, "I was thinking-"
"Get out!" Lucifer yelled as the demon scampered from the tent. Lucifer dramatically emerged from his domain, and out into his hectic kingdom of Hellacia. His rage for the demonburned strong, fueling his determination. He was stressed, and slightly scared. Now he had to get an army, he couldn't just have an empty threat out in the world. Lucifer looked around at his people, taking a deep breath to make is voice boom. "People," he thundered, getting their attention. The people in the kingdom fell to a bow immediately upon sight of their king.
"My people," Lucifer boomed bitterly, "tomorrow morning, everyone will march, find, and fight the followers of The Maker. Along the way we will gather my people that remain on the earth." The people murmured under their breath with complaints. "No man, no woman, no child will stay in this kingdom. You will be given guns and weapons, and you will most likely die," Lucifer continued. A man stood. "We don't know how to fight!" Lucifer stared deep into his eyes, making him shake with fear. "Figure it out," Lucifer snarled viciously. The man nodded in embarrassment, afraid to disagree and get further threatened. Lucifer stood tall and scanned his people. "Normally I would have a few weeks to prepare you," he told them, "but thanks to a demon," Lucifer looked directly at the demon as the people followed his glare, "we have a day." A little boy stood so he could be seen by Lucifer and the crowd. "Did the demon tell a certain date that we have to go by?" The little boy asked. Lucifer rolled his eyes. He hated kids. "No," he replied patiently, "but if we wait too long, Koda's followers will grow stronger and more plenty. Now-" the boy cut off Lucifer in a childlike way, "I think we should have a few days to practice our skills. Like seven." Lucifer smiled. "That's a great idea!" He exclaimed mockingly as the boy beamed. "But no." The boy suddenly had a hurt look as Lucifer continued
"What about six days?" The boy continued innocently. Lucifer cocked his head to look at the boy. "No," he curtly replied, attempting to address his people again, "we need to-"
"Five days?" The boy watched as Lucifer took a deep breath to calm his irritation. "No," he growled, "we have a day. That's it." The boy cocked his head as Lucifer hesitated. He waited to see if the boy was going to speak again. After a few seconds of silence, Lucifer continued his speech with confidence he would finish, "we need to be-"
"Four days sounds reasonable," the boy bargained again. Lucifer looked up to the sky in exasperation. "We will have four days!" He yelled to the sun, giving into the boy's persistence, The boy smiled as he sank back to his knees victoriously. Lucifer shook his head. "Now that we have that in order," he looked sharply at the boy still grinning, "we need to be able to fight pure Angels and-"
