I didn't know how much time had passed since we fell to the floor and hugged each other. The warm embrace reminded me of my childhood, it reminded me of the warm summer days spent at the river, the winter days we spent inside reading and drawing. Yet there was the small feeling of abandonment that rushed through me but I couldn't worry about it now. All the memories of my childhood came flooding back from the very first moment we met each other, I could remember it all very clearly.

"Okay students we have two new people joining our class today" the teacher announced to the class. Everyone awed at the two kids standing in front of the class, the boy kept a wide smile on his face while the girl trying to hide behind him looked down to the floor to avoid eye contact with everyone in the room. At the time I didn't have friends in the class I spent my lunch sitting by myself and reading various books my grandfather would give to me when he came to visit. I gave a quick glance to the two kids standing in front and then returned to reading my book. The boy with a grin on his face spoke for the first time.

"My name is Eren Jaeger!" He said standing tall making himself look confident. "And this is my sister Mikasa Ackerman! We're not really related at all she's adopted so don't ask why we don't look alike."

All the kids in class buzzed about them with excitement. It wasn't very often we got new students since our town is so small and not a popular destination to move to.

"Okay kids calm down. Eren go sit next to Armin the little blond haired boy by the window and Mikasa sit between Mina and Marco up front please." the teacher said. I flinched when the teacher said my name but I should've known he would sit next to me since the seat next to me was always empty because I didn't have any friends in class, I kept to myself and read books. Eren made his way to the empty seat next to me and plopped into his seat and the very first thing he said to me was

"Hey I'm Eren wanna be my friend?" I was shocked that he would be so upfront about what he wanted.

"Why do you wanna be friends with me? I just met you." I said keeping my eyes on my book.

"Well I never had one..." that was when he got my attention for someone as loud and outspoken as he was how did he not have friends he seemed pretty cool to me but what did I know I haven't had a friend either.

"I haven't had a friend either...m-maybe I could be your friend" I said trying to make eye contact with him. Eren smiled widely and from there on we became close friends. I got to become close with his sister Mikasa, she was quiet but strong and very skilled. Together we were an unstoppable team, whenever someone would pick on me Eren would step up to defend me but it didn't always work out so Mikasa would come in to save us since bullies were afraid of her. These memories remain so fresh in my mind and I never go a day without thinking about them.

"I'm not going to tell you guys again...GET THE FUCK OFF MY CLEAN FLOORS" Levi exclaimed. We broke from our hug and stood up, I was still in shock that Eren and Mikasa were in front of me and they've truly changed since I last saw them. Eren had sleeve tattoos, plugs, and his hair was shaggy but still the same brown color I remember. Mikasa's hair had grown out past her shoulders she had one visible tattoo of a name I could quite make out.

"Okay now that you're off my clean floors can anyone explain what the hell just happened?" Levi ask. Then Eren spoke his voice was different it felt strange to hear him talk again.

"Levi this is Armin Arlert. Mikasa and I grew up with him in Shiganshina we haven't seen each other is about ten years. So we were taken aback seeing him here." Eren smiled then looked at me "we need to catch up it's been so long dude." he said in all too casual tone as if I had just talked to him the other day but it's been ten years I wanted answers as to why they just up a disappeared out of nowhere...I finally spoke to them.
