The stars in her eyes

Rowan and Theodore sit next to each other on Rowans bed, their hands clasped together lovingly. Rowan is laying her head on his chest, her eyes closed. Theodore has one hand on the back of her head, stroking her hair softly. It is silent save for the sounds of their soft breathing and the sounds of the bubbler machine to the fish tank.

Theodore breaks the silence by softly saying into Rowans ear, "Let's go outside and look at the stars My Queen." Hearing his pet name for her, Rowan smiles, revealing perfect straight white teeth. She just nods her head and stands up, stretching her long legs and cracking her back. Theodore watches her, love in his eyes and he pulls her towards him by her waist. Wrapping his arms around her skinny frame, he lays his head on her tummy. Rowans heart swells with love and happiness and she hugs his head to her, her hands gently playing with his shaggy black hair. She smiles and sighs happily, and looks down at the shape of his body, his head still on her tummy. Moving back and grabbing his hands, she guides him off the bed and out the door, going out back.

Rowan grabs the blanket they always keep out there and lays it out amongst the soft grass. Once it is neat and even, the pair of them sit down, Theodore playing 21 guns by Green Day on his phone, some music to add to the crickets making their own music. They lay back on the blanket, their heads together, hands held tightly in between them. Rowans curly brown hair is spread out like a fan by her head, giving an air of appeal to her high cheekbones and full lips. Rowan stares up at the stars, admiring the beauty of the lights in the sky. Theodore doesn't look at the stars in the sky but the stars in her eyes. He smiles, not trying to let her catch him. Theodore studies her face, the way her lips part slightly in happiness, the way her beautiful hazel eyes scan the sea of stars, swallowed up by the black ocean of the sky. He looks at the gentle rising and falling of her chest with each breathe she takes.

Rowan turns her head to face Theodore and sees him studing her, a million thoughts racing through her mind. Theodore moves his free hand and cups her face in his large palm, leaning over to kiss her lips softly at first, then slowly, almost hungrily and possessively. Rowan kisses him back with as much as passion, their lips moving in syncronization. Theordore lets go of her hand, moving it to her hair to push their faces closer together, moving their bodies to wrap around each other.

Breathily, Theodore mutters out to Rowan, "I love you My Queen." He pulls away looking at her face once more, looking for a reaction. "I love you more My King," Rowan whispers, smiling, her eyes lighting up with love. They both smile very big, kissing once more. Rowan lays her head on Theodores large chest, listening to the calm beat of his heart. She wraps an arm around him, her legs pressed up against his. Theodore has his arm around her, her warmth radiating off of her, making his cool skin feel so much better with her near. The couple falls asleep together, not a sound save for their soft breathing and crickets making their music of the night.

The next morning, Rowan wakes up alone. She looks around groggily, her hair in her face. Sitting up she scans the feild and doesn't see Theodore, she assumes he went to use the bathroom or get food. Sitting up and pulling her hair up in a pony tail, she puts her hand down on the blanket and hears crinkling of paper. Curious and confused, she picks it up and sees it has her name in neat lettering.

Rowan Lea King,

I know we have had problems and over came them but we need to break up. I am sorry, but I have a kingdom to run. It seemed as if I did all the fighting for our relationship. It was me against all your friends and family, they never really liked me. I am going out with my brothers tonight to get rid of all thoughts of you, you are just another burden I can not handle at this point in time. You need to forget about me, just think of me as a dream. Don't try to stay in contact with me. I will forever love you.
