I was trying to sleep, I was actually pretty darn comfortable....
Until my phone rang.
Grumbling profanities under my breath, I got t and didn't bother looking at the caller ID, I just answered. "What?" I said, laying back down. I was too lazy to sit up. "Well aren't you just a great ball of sunshine today, get up Lu or I'm coming to drag you out of bed." I groaned.
Wesley, I knew t hat voice anywhere. Deep and smooth. Something one of my friends would call "the perfect bedroom voice" "I don't want to." I muttered into the speaker, trying to fight my way out of the blanket. "I didn't ask you, I was telling you. Now get up, and you'd better wear it!" He said, bsing bossy again, before hanging up on me.
He wanted me to wear the neck-less he got for me when I was thirteen. It was something simple, just a silver thin chain with a silver cursive W on it ending right under my collar bone, I always wore it though. Always.
Grumbling, I got up and went into the shower, It woke me up. The smooth suds and the hot water. When I was done, I dried my hair and brushed it, looking in the mirror after I was done with my teeth.
I wasn't really anything special really, mid-height, even though Wesley towered over me, I had wavy dirty blonde hair to the middle of my back, long lashes, slate blue eyes, and full pink lips. I don't like makeup so I never wear anything except for chap stick sometimes. I had some curves, not ridiculous race track curves like Krissy, one of my closest friends at school.
I hurried to get dressed.
For today, I wore my light blue skinny jeans, blue, pink and light purple flower printed Toms, a baby blue camisole and a cardigan with the same pattern as my shoes. I grabbed m y dark brown leather message bag and hurried down the stairs.
My phone vibrated in my pocket.
WES: Where are you? I don't see you, are you here??
I sighed, he always worried about everything. I put my head phones in, blasting my music while speeding up my pace. I sent him a text that I was walking as fast as I could. I loved Wesley, he was my best friend and I'd do anything for him...even if I had to pretend like I didn't't know him. My phone began to ring, interrupting my music. It was Krissy.
"Hey beautiful! are you coming to school today?" I nodded, and stopped when I realized she couldn't see me. "Yeah, I'm around the corner now." She groaned. "Man, I was hoping I could catch a walk with you today, oh well I'll be there in a bit I guess, I can't find my purple stiletto." I could basically hear her pouting. Rolling my eyes, I told her. "Look under your bed, see you in a bit." I finally came around the corner, and into the school court yard.
WES: I don't see you Lu, I'm getting worried where are you?
I sighed heavily.
ME: Look at the court entrance, silly.
I found his eyes in a big crowd, surrounded by all the hard looking students. He looked around nervously until his light blue eyes found mine and he visibly relaxed then looked back down to his phone.
WES: Sorry, you know how I get. You look gorgeous today, Lu.
I blushed and walked to the other side of the court yard.
ME: Well relax, I see Megan is at it again.
He knew I wasn't good with compliments, I don't know why...I just don't really know how to react to them to well. Looking over to his group, I saw the black haired long legged cheerleader sitting on his lap, talking to someone on next to her while rubbing all up and down his arm. He looked irritated though. To be honest, Wes was what Krissy would call "A duplicate of a sex god" and I actually agreed.
