11- Sshh, keep it a secret
Jane's POV
Luca, that bastard.
Why wasn't he standing up for himself? How dare he allow his parents to use me to blackmail him? How dare his so called parents even do something like that? He's not a toy they can do whatever the want with, he's a bloody human being!!
My body was filled with rage as I marched across the school hallway, searching for Luca. I heard murmurs and whispers around me but I didn't look, all that was on my mind was finding Luca and confronting him.
My fists were balled tightly and my knuckles were probably white by now. I can't believe his parents. How can they be so....so....so evil?! Demons learn from them.
The bell rang signaling the end of lunch break and I still couldn't find Luca. I already missed some of my morning classes and I wouldn't mind missing more today.
As I walked down the hallway, I noticed Luca coming my way. He didn't notice me infront of him and I thanked god that Sarah was nowhere to be found.
I hid in the janitor's closet with the door slightly opened and waited for Luca to reach it and as soon as I caught a glimpse of him next to the door, I reached out for his sleeve and pulled him inside with me, closing the door swiftly behind.
"What the-" Luca was confused and surprised by my actions. His eyes widened in shock as his eyes connected with mine.
"Jane?"
"They blackmailed you with me didn't they?" I asked with crossed arms. Luca seemed taken aback with my sudden question but I wasn't going to waste any time.
He fixed his expression into a nonchalant one. "I don't know what you're talking about." He told me with a shrug.
"Don't lie to me Luca. I know everything." I snapped at him unintentionally. I didn't mean it but the anger and hate I felt towards his parents, plus him trying hide things woke up my inner beast.
Luca sighed. "How did you know?" He asked with concern.
"You're parents told me." I replied. It was no a lie. They didn't tell me directly..true, but still, they were the ones that made it all known to me.
Luca's eyes widened and I were about to leave their sockets and fall to the ground. "What?" He yelled, panic lacing his voice. "What do you mean my parents told you? You me them?" He asked in exasperation. He then took a step back and looked me up and down, assessing my outfit.
His face rise and his eyes met mine. "What the hell were you thinking Jane?! Is that why you're dressed like that? You went to meet them?" He whisper-yelled.
"I didn't really meet them." I told him but he still didn't seem to calm down. "I was going to but I heard them talking from behind the door. They didn't know I was there." I explained.
"That still doesn't change the fact that you actually went to meet my parents. Why Jane? Why would you do that?" He asked, his eyebrows furrowed and there was plea in his voice.
"What do you mean why? You want me to see you acting like that and do nothing about it?" I asked him with a slightly raised tone. "You promised you'd stand up for yourself Luca. You promised." I yelled as I punched his chest over and over with tear filled eyes. Luca wrapped his arms around me and hugged me tight to his body.
"Not if you were going to get hurt." Came his reply. His voice was lowered down too.
"I don't care. You can't let them use you." I said as I raised my eyes to meet his.
"I can't let him hurt you because of me Jane. I can't." He said shaking his head, his arms never leaving their position around my waist.
"And you think I can let them use me to blackmail you into doing what they want?" I retorted back.
"I can handle it. I've been handling it for quite some time now." He told me with a sigh.
"And it's about time that changes. Luca please. You can't let the pain from your past punish your present or paralyse your future." I said with determination. I'm not letting them win us over. Never.
Luca sighed deeply. "Janey please, just-" He started but I cut him short.
"Will you go out with me?" I asked the question I wanted to ask him for quite some time now.
Luca looked at me with a mixture of emotions that I couldn't decipher. He looked shocked, confused, happy even.
"W-what?" He asked appalled.
"Go out with me. I've been wanting to ask you out for sometime now but never got the guts to do it. I was too shy and with the problem with Sarah, I found it impossible. But, not now. I done want to lose you Luca." I confessed. I felt like a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders.
Luca didn't say anything for a couple if seconds and I was starting to think that my deciding I ti asking him out was haste and uncalled for. I looks like it wasn't the right time.
"Luca look, I'm sorry. I know you might not feel he same way. It's okay, you can-" My rambling and doubts died inside if me as his lips crashed down on mine, engulfing me in his warmth.
Sparks erupted from where our skins touched as Luca pressed me harder against his body. His soft lips moved in sync with mine. His tongue caressed my bottom lip asking for entrance. I granted it and his tongue was soon fighting for dominance with mine. After a fierce battle, I gave up, making him win. His tongue roamed my mouth and launched for every corner as to memorise every inch of it. A small moan escaped my throat.
One of his hand reached the back if my head, angling it so he would deepen the kiss further. My own hands found their way to his soft hair, messing it to no return. My fingers curled around am his back stands and I tucked onto them making him moan through the kiss.
We pulled apart after some time for air. My lips felt swollen and my lungs burned from the lack of oxygen. We were both breathing heavily as Luca pressed his forehead to mine.
"Does that mean it's a yes?" I asked out if breath.
Luca grinned at me and pecked my lips softly. "Definitely a yes."
