Chapter 1:
April's POV:
3 years later:
"And sneaking into number one this week once again, we have April Parker with Voodoo Love! Enjoy!"
Waking up to your own voice on the radio has a couple emotions with it.
1. Extreme nerves rush through your body. What if people don't like it? Do I sound good?
2. Excitement takes over and you don't even realize your jumping up and down on your bed singing along.
And lastly, pain and sorrow come inside you, crushing you and making you feel dead inside.
Do I deserve this?
Why did this have to happen to me?
All this started because of him.
He knew I would never cheat, but of course who would believe someone who's thousands and thousands of miles away? I sure as hell wouldn't.
As I was pondering getting up out of bed my phone started blaring out my ringtone, I'm Yours by Jason Mraz.
And I knew exactly who was calling me.
"Hey baby"
"Hi Alex."
Yes that's right, my new boyfriend of 1 and a half years is Alex Pettyfer.
"You still on for tonight?"
"Why wouldn't I be?"
"I don't know, maybe you found someone else that will watch all of the twilight movies with you."
"Alex, come on. Try finding another guy who will sit and watch every Twilight movie with me."
I didn't hear anything in response so I kept going.
"Alex I was kidding. Yes I'm on for tonight."
"Ok good. Thought you were going to ditch me and go hang with your so called "friends"."
The way he said that hurt even though I knew it was true.
"Alex you know that's not true I have lots of friends."
"Yeah, back in Ireland."
Ok now that one stung.
"I specifically told you to NEVER bring up that place again."
"Too late."
Now he was getting on my nerves.
"You know what Alex, I gotta go. Pick me up at six. Bye."
I hung up before he could answer.
He knows that place is a touchy subject!
It's where I grew up, made friends, and fell in love. But we don't talk about the last one anymore. AT ALL.
Stumbling out of bed I decided to go stop by McDonalds and grab a quick snack and go shopping since I have a break today.
I threw on a pair of light denim wash shorts with a pink polka dot sweater and my white studded flats.
My dark brown hair was naturally straight so I just left it that way.
I did my makeup minimal, highlighting my chocolate brown eyes and making my pale skin look a little bit better.
Grabbing my keys and purse I locked the front door and headed out for the day.
