April's POV:

Taking in my surroundings I noticed he had in ear buds so I'd have to find a way to get him to take them off.

Wait. What is going on? I thought to myself. This isn't me. I would never do this.

But something kept me moving closer.

Its like I was drawn to him.

As I traipsed over to him I came to a halt.

What will I ask him?

Eh, might as well wing it.

I didn't apprehend how close I actually was until I could smell his cologne.

Mmmm. Amazing.

WAIT. What am I doing?

But it does smell familiar....

Anyways, I didn't know how to get his attention so I just lightly tapped his shoulder.

Ok. Here goes nothing.

"Um, excuse me, do you know where the bathroom is?"

REALLY APRIL?! THE BATHROOM?! Way to make yourself look like the stupidest person ever.

But to my luck, he still had his head phones in and I guess he didn't feel me poke his shoulder.

I tapped his shoulder once more, but with a little more force.

"Excuse me, where's the nearest bathroom?" I said a little to harsh.

He turned around slightly annoyed by my presence, pulled out his ear buds, and responded.

"Sorry, but I'm not fro-"

He didn't even have to finish his sentence.

That's how quick I left.

I really didn't acknowledge him running after me until it was too late.

Suddenly a hand grabs my arm and turns me around.

Silence fell for what seemed like hours; the tension as thick as a foggy day.

"Oh my god."

I just stood there as he took in every feature, eyes shut, afraid of what I'd see.

Tears threaten to fall down my now red face.

I could never forgive him for what he did, so why even talk.

"April, did you hear me? Please just listen to me I-"

Everyone's sentences are being cut off today.

"You know what, that's what they all say. I'm so sorry for whatever I did. I didn't mean to do anything. But right now, its better if we just forget this ever happened. Forget we ever happened. I'm sorry."

I look up and met his blue watery eyes. But that didn't last long for I just looked back down, the tears now falling down my cheeks onto the wooden boardwalk.

Turning my back, I walked away, feeling both crushed and aweless. I couldn't even comprehend what I just said to him.

Was that even me?

After I snuck in one last glance to show him how much he's really affected me, I sulk over to my friends, overthinking what just happened.

Did I make the right choice?

I sure as hell hope so.

Bre was the first one to speak.

"April, what the FUCK just happened?!?"

I didn't really feel like talking so I just scrunched my shoulders.

Renee was the next to speak.

"No Ap, what the ACTUAL fuck just happened? I've never seen you do this."

"Can we just leave? It's been a long night." I didn't make eye contact with any of them.

"Alright, but were not done with this. Tomorrow at 1, at the café, you're explaining EVERYTHING." Renee hollered at me.

"Fine, lets just go."

And that night, not once did I forget that face I coincidently bumped into today.
