She was happier than she ever could be. She felt good knowing that she didn't have to be jealous anymore seeing all her sisters enjoying their romantic life. Though it was in a good way, she got jealous that she wasn't having this experience she had wished for and she was of the same age. Mother and sisters have got me enough jealous, she thought and as soon as she realized she was being asked a question, she jolted out of her thoughts.

Much to her dismay, a chuckle was heard from the other end of the room. Before she could answer the question, she looked up to only see her cousin, Sufyaan standing at the entrance of the room. Her mother's gaze followed hers as she caught Sufyaan standing there. Her smile widened as Nazaakat turned to see the look on her face.

Sometimes I feel, my mom's real child is him, she couldn't help but glare at the tall figure standing at the other end. All he did was give another chuckle , which was only thing needed to make her more annoyed.

Her mother stood up as she asked, "Sufyaan habibi, you brought the things I asked you for?" As soon as she got a nod, she continued pointing a hand to the left, "please come and keep it here."

Sufyaan nodded and started walking as he stuck his tongue out at Nazaakat and all he got was another glare. A pair of heads turned to see what the bride-to-be was glaring at with all her might. Nazaakat's to be mother-in-law and her sister-in-law stared at Sufyaan as if he was not a human but something they had never seen. Soon, her mother-in-law nudged her daughter and she blushed and looked down. Okay, don't tell me she likes him, she internally laughed at how silly was her sister-in-law to like her stupid cousin.

Sufyaan left the room as soon as he did his job. Without any other questions for Nazaakat, her mother-in-law asked her mom, "who is he?"

Her mother's face beamed at the question.

"Who? Sufyaan? He is my second son." Her Amtu , sitting beside her mother answered.

"He's so sweet MashaAllah and just like my own son." Her mother gushed about her not-so-favorite cousin , forgetting her daughter was the subject here.

"Yeah, you can see by looking at how handsome he is MashaAllah." Her mother-in-law said.

Wow nice, the last thing I wanted was for my mother-in-law to like him as well.

"Is he married?" was just another one of her questions that didn't ask for Nazaakat's answer. Nazaakat on the other hand, knew it quite well that she wasn't going to be the topic anymore as Sufyaan jinxed it.

"No, he just finished his studies and is planning on getting a better job than the current one In Sha Allah." His mother replied proudly. Well, it sure is not everyone who gets a son like hers.

"Oh, that's wonderful!" Her mother-in-law said with joy, "as soon as I saw your son, I could tell my daughter and he would make a perfect match MashaAllah."

Nazaakat's eyes widened and she tried hard to stop her jaw to fall on the ground. Wait they came to see me right? She couldn't help but think.

His mother's expression changed slightly as she was not allowed to take her son's life decisions without his knowledge in it. Not just her, every mother.

She let out a laugh that didn't seem like one, "yeah that would be wonderful! I'll talk to him as soon as I get time."

"Oh that's nice!" Her mother-in-law's smile became wider than it can ever be and his sister-in-law blushed as if she was already dreaming about what would happen after marriage.

Nazaakat's mother, just as her own words, proved she loved that guy more than her own child if that was even possible as she said to the mother-in-law, "your daughter is so lucky to get a guy like my son and yeah also he's lucky to get her."

Mom! Don't say things you aren't sure of! Nazaakat internally groaned as she looked at her mother. Her mother ignored her even though she knew what her daughter was trying to say.

"I think that is all for today." Her mother-in-law stood up with all the ladies doing the same, herself as well. Her mother's face paled listening to the doubled meaning statement.

As if the lady could heard her mother's mind, she added, "I like Nazaakat alot, she's beautiful MashaAllah."

Only beautiful? I practically answered every question the best way I knew. Her brows creased slightly not showing how offended she felt.

"And I'll tell Yaqub to meet with her, so that they can know each other well. Of course they'll have someone as their chaperone." She added with a laugh which surely wasn't need for the statement.

Before they all left, they let the groom say Salaam to the bride and Nazaakat tried her best not to blush as returned his Salaam but failed terribly. Even between all the noises around her, she could still hear that very recognizable chuckle and she tried ... She tried not to glare.

As soon as they all left and everyone busied themselves without caring about the to-be-bride, Nazaakat stomped towards Sufyaan only to be attacked by a fit of laughter from him.

"What's your problem?!" She asked with great venom in her voice.

"Yo..u getting ma..aried?" He kept on laughing with his head back and his hand on his stomach.

"What's so funny in it?" She asked with gritted teeth.

"You were blushing," he laughed which caused her to blush more, "that... That is.. Impossible."

"You're rude and not at all funny! Go to that Nawaa or whatever that liked you and stop disturbing me!" She yelled back. She knew she sounded childish enough to make him laugh some more but he was right that it was really rare for her to blush.

"Nawaa? Who's that?" He asked in confusion. Nazaakat,on the other hand, was very pleased that he stopped laughing.

"I don't know her name, she's Yaqub's sister and she likes you." She said as she stifled a laugh. She knew very well how much he hated someone who doesn't say what they feel in front of the person themselves.

"What?!" He asked and she couldn't help but laugh at him instead. "You know what, leave it! I'm going to Amtu."

It didn't surprise her even a little that he was going to her mother to talk about this instead of his own. It's just that her mother loved him ever since he was small and besides his mother was very worried about his elder brother who was frail compared to him due to premature birth, just like her.

"Go! Why don't you just tell her to adopt you?!" She said as he stuck out his tongue at her.

"I will and you're going to be jealous of me! More than now if that's even possible!" He said laughing without facing her and walking to his Amtu.

Who knew their words would come true?
