My Own Reflection On The Waters Surface

I look at my reflection in the bathroom mirror.
My long hair is messy and tangled, my eyes have bags under them.
It's been five days since I started school here and already it's proving difficult for me to keep up with the other students. I haven't made many friends, just Shiemi, Shima and Rin. Suguro looks at me strangely whenever he sees me and I don't know why, Kamiki is just plain rude.

That strange woman's words still ring in my ears, I don't understand. What did she mean? I don't think I'll ever understand other people. I change into my pajamas, brush my hair, which reaches my waist, and lay on my bed. My mind has never been so confused. But then my life has been all but empty until now.  I'm so glad I'm here.

I hear a noise outside my window and I rush to check what it was. Strange noises have always kept me up at night. I look outside, it's dark but I can make out the shape of a person.

I'm pulled out of the window by something. The wind tugged at my clothes, knocking me out of the window. I expect to fall onto the hard floor below, but someone catches me.
"Nice of you to drop by!" He laughs. I look at him, I'm thoroughly confused.
"Wha-"
"Come with me. You gotta see this!"
"Wait! What are you-!"
He drags me along the the waters edge.

The moon is full and snow white tonight.

It's light is reflected in ripples on the oceans surface. Millions of glittering stars hang in the sky like diamonds and the clouds have disappeared. The night is crystal clear and cool. My hair tickles my face as the slight breeze brushes past me. I look over at Rin, whose blue eyes reflect the moons light perfectly. It's beautiful and calm.

I can see my own face reflected on the waters surface too. And for the first time in my life, I'm glad to be alive.
