I can read all the books I want now! I haven't ever heard or spoken to Melissa since that morning, but I know that she will be remembered forever. To this day I have so many adventures with my best friend Claira, my neighbor. We act out lots of books! The adventures continue, and I know that I have started a new beginning.
That morning when I said goodbye to Teddie, I knew she'd be in good hands. I felt happy for her. She went with a real family, that loved her. I knew now that you have to let go of the past, and I have. I got remarried to a man named Henry, who works at the farmers market. I also have a new job, working at one of my friend's garden. I know Teddie lives in a different town now, but it won't stop me from imagining her happy and safe, being the normal girl who was once a hero of a community.
