Meeks P.O.V
Her face stared at me in utter confusion, disbelief, and like I was absolutely crazy. Maybe I looked it. My eyes were wide with anxiety, the rain hit my face, making my curls plaster down on my face, and the fact that I looked completely serious I said all of this. But I had no choice. She had to know now, or else Madeline would confuse her. And I can't risk losing her to the dark side.
The tension grew,as the clouds overhead turned an even darker shade of black. It won't be long now. "Madeline is going to come any minute now, and she'll say a lot of things. The chances are most of them are true, but all of them are biased. She needs you to go to her side, seeing as you're the most powerful half being breathing right now. So I need you to keep you're head and stay with me. Stay behind me if I tell you to. Ill answer all of your questions and more after we escape." I told her, and without giving her a chance to speak, I gathered her in my arms, and raced as fast as I could, in the direction of the storm, where she wouldn't be expecting it most.
I risked a glance down, and her face melted my heart. That terrified look, how I wish I could send it away. Her hands were awkwardly grasping my neck, and the skin her uniform didn't cover was what I believed were goosebumps. I really really wanted her to find out another way, but good gracious, those fallen angels mess up everything.
"Wh-who are they?" Hazel asks as she raises a slender finger toward the air.
I follow her finger and am greeted with three young women. But of course these aren't any young human females. With those sevenish feet of wings, varing shades of black. The one in the middle, Madeline peered at us triuphiantly. The two behind her looked like mirror images of each other. Twins Ulyssa, whose own name means Hatred, and Mara meaning Bitter. Making it kind of hilarious seeing as how Madelines name is from one of Jesus' followers.
"Looky here my dears. Here we are, tryna just to catch one little Nephilim, and we end up with a Full Angel as well." Madeline smirked down at us. Her silver eyes glittered in malice, and she stroked her wings downward, until she landed gracefully in front of us.
"Hello Hazel. Miss me today?" She smiled slyly at us. She looked at her nails and continued. "I'm sorry I couldn't make it today to make you miserable, Angel. It's that, well master wanted you today. I quote, By the end of sundown. He said that other players entered the game." Her eyes slid toward mine. "I guess he was right. But I still have a little time for some fun. Right girls?" She asked Ulyssa and Mara.
Their smiles reminded me of a Cheshire cat. Completely untrustable. "Of course Madeline. I bet these weaklings are just starving for some...ah... attention." Ulyssa replied, her red eyes, which personally reminded me of dried human blood, stared hard at us.
"Of course. He just said to bring them alive. But he never said how much alive." Mara added, with a flip of charcoal black hair with a haircut that looked like it was done with a weed hacker. Pardon my inscriptions.
"What have I ever done to you guys! I hate this game! So stop it!" Hazel cried out. Her violet eyes were frantic, her face streamed with tears and rain. I had put her down when they had arrived, so I hugged her tightly.
To my surprise though, she pushed me away. Oh my heavens, please no! She thinks this is a joke, and I'm in on it."Haze...this isn't a game, love." I whispered, reaching out to her. Her eyes opened in horror, as I let two of my aqua wings out.
"No....Th-this can't be real. Not you too, Dylan." She gasped, her hands in front of her mouth.
"Didn't your love tell you darling? He's not human. None of us are. We lost our humanity years ago." Mara elaborated.
"What are you then?" Hazel whispered, beholding them both.
" Oh Hazel Matthan, the Lasting Hope of Angels. We are the mightest of creatures, for we grew without God's help. You see, Im a Nephilim like you. The only difference is that I'm part Fallen Angel. Practically a demon. You on the other hand, are a True Angel. The purest of the Angels. But we can't let you go. You might just ruin our plans." Madeline answered. She lazily stretched, making me tense.
In a flash, Ulyssa set out for Hazel. My flaming connected with her thigh, just as Hazel ducked. She flipped backwords, hissing at me. "Why you little piece of-"
"Ah ah ah." I interrupted. "We've got innocent ears over here." I smiled, steeping in front of Hazel.
In my hands I held Vinesh, my'godly' sword. The blue fire it emitted came from the power I possessed. It burned brightly, considering I haven't used much of my powers these days. The handle was lavishly decorated with bluish gemstones. It was beautiful. And deadly. The trio of fallen nephilim hissed at me. Ah, I forgot to add, it was blessed by a Seraphim, and cleaned with holy water. Sometimes deadly to them. "Come any closer, and lets see how much you like the dead hell." I taunted them.
Apparently Ulyssa, the dumbest of the three jumped at me again, clawing out long black nails. I swung Vinesh, and it passed cleanly through her body. With a screech and a wisp of smoke, she was gone. I flicked her black blood from Vinesh, and stared hard at the remaining two. "One down, two to go. Who would like to go next girls?" I asked.
It seemed to me they only knew how to hiss at this point.
