lies

my whole life
has been
a series of lies.

i heard
"friends forever"
yet that did not last.

you'll feel better
when you eat
here have this food and shove it down.

i was told
honesty is the best policy
i'm yelled at for being too blunt.

you're so skinny
well you're not the one
who is forced to have the fat on their body.

you're too good for this
believe me love
i deserve this.

that not having strong faith
gets you sent to hell
you're in the same earth as me, right?

sometimes i do the
dirty deed
of lying sometimes though.

"i'm fine."
"oh i just got no sleep."
"i ate my lunch."
