Anna blinked a few times in surprise. He had a twin brother? Not to mention, an evil one?

"What do you mean, 'evil'?" She asked.

Eric sighed, sitting on the edge of her bed. Anna sat beside him, putting a hand on his shoulder. "Tell me about it."

"You sure you wanna hear the story?" Eric asked.

Anna nodded. He took a deep breath and sighed. He folded his hands in his lap, and began to tell the story.

"Hiccup and I were twins. When we were babies, it was noticeable. But, when we started getting older, it became less noticeable. He was anything but Viking material. He literally couldn't pick up an axe without falling backwards! Anyways, he started ending up in my shadow. That's, how our rivalry began."

"And?" Anna asked, pushing him on.

"And...He eventually was out in the spotlight, when he trained a Night Fury. An extremely rare Dragon. The first one to ever really trained by a Viking. We'd killed them all before, but he opened up a new chapter. A new away of life. Our rivalry was put on hold for a few years. Until..." Eric stopped.

"Let me guess, you both fell for the same girl, right?" Anna asked.

Eric gave her a surprised look, but she merely waved it off.

"Yes, actually. Astrid, was her name. Blonde braid, blue eyes, etc. She was a warrior. Every guy on Berk could willingly say she was the toughest and prettiest girl on Berk. Our rivalry started all over again. But, Hiccup won by a long shot. Him and Astrid fell in love, and got married. And to be honest, I supported it. I was happy for him. He never believed me though. He thought I was gonna be jealous for life. But, jealousy became the least of our concerns. As the final blow to our rivalry came."

"What happened?" Anna inquired.

"An old enemy of Berk known as Drago, surprise attacked us. It was so swift and sudden, we could hardly react. Even with our Dragons, it was a struggle. And, Hiccup was responsible for Drago's previous defeat. So, of course he wanted revenge. And he got it. By killing Astrid. Hiccup was devastated. It left a mark on him that would never heal. In fact, that mark, changed him. He became bitter, angry, and..dangerous. He started blaming me for Astrid's death. Saying I killed her out of jealousy. Soon, our rivalry, turned into all out war."

Anna watched his expression, listening closely. He sighed again, biting his lip. She could tell the next part was gonna be difficult.

"It was late at night. Most of Berk was already in bed. But, the night was soon turned into terror. Hiccup attacked Berk, using his Night Fury, Toothless, and many other Dragons, setting it ablaze. The Night was filled with screams and cries of innocent people and Dragons being killed. Hiccup even set fire to my own home, leaving me to burn. Our mother, Valka, managed to get me out. But, the house collapsed before she could. I begged Hiccup to stop, asking why he would do such a thing. All he said was, "You ruined my life, and took my happiness. From this day forward, I will ruin yours." And with that, he flew away. He never came back" Eric finished.

"Wow. So, that must be why he's chasing after me. He wants revenge on you. He must know you...care for me" Anna said, staring at the floor.

"Exactly. That's why I want you to stay as far from him as possible. If you see him, run away. Ignore him. Avoid him at all costs" Eric commanded, holding her shoulders.

Anna slowly nodded in agreement. Eric smiled, kissing her forehead. She smiled gently, bidding him, "goodnight."

As she layed down, falling asleep, she was unaware that a Night Fury sat outside her window, atop a tree. And it's rider smirked slightly, his wicked green eyes glinting with lust.
