Anna had stayed awake most of the night. Sleeping in the same house as that...that...monster, did not make her comfortable in the slightest. She had spent more than half the night curled up in a ball, hoping and praying nothing bad happened to her. Lord knows what kind of things the freak had in store for her.
When she finally did fall asleep, it wasn't a comfortable rest. As expected, she was plagued with nightmares all night long. She woke in a cold sweat many times throughout the night.
When morning arrived, Anna discovered her room had...changed? She sat up, looking around in confusion. She swore the decoration had been different the night before. What had that bastard done while she was asleep?
As if in answer to that, the bastard himself stepped into her room. Much to her annoyance. Was it entirely impossible for him to do such a little thing as knock? Or did he just not care? Of course he didn't. He was nothing more than a devil. Why would he care?
"So, do you like the new look? I figured the last one wouldn't suit you. Especially since it wasn't your favorite color. Green. Strange. Most girls like pink. Any who, what do you think?" Hiccup asked, as though they were friends. Having a normal conversation.
Anna took a look around. It....did look slightly more..inviting. The style had changed to a more girlish setting. Although it still held a rather warrior type look to it as well. She had a vanity now. And a pretty red wood one at that. Her bed sheets had changed to a bright green. She ran her hands across it, getting a feel for it. She noticed Cocoa had a matching one not to far across the room. All in all, it wasn't too bad. She could almost call this home. Almost.
"It does look better. Thanks" Anna said, slowly pulling the covers off and standing up.
"So, you do have manners? Good to know" Hiccup's taunting tone had returned.
"That's more like him" Anna thought.
"Hungry at all?" He asked.
Before she could reply, her stomach growled. A deep blush quickly appeared on Anna's face, though she tried to hide it. Hiccup chuckled, offering her a hand. She started at it for a few seconds, before nervously accepting.
Anna watched him very closely as he led her out the bedroom, down the hall, and towards the dining room. She wanted to be sure he wasn't up to anything. For all she knew, he could snap at a moment's notice. And if there was one thing Valka had taught her, it was this. NEVER, let your guard down around your enemy.
Once breakfast had been consumed, Anna expected Hiccup to chuck her back into her room. She was surprised when he led her, instead, to the garden outside. Amazingly enough, the place was...beautiful. Dragons flew all about the many different flowers and trees. For a man who was so evil, he grew nice plants.
"Feel free to look around. But don't even think about running off. I assure you, the Dragons will kill you" Hiccup threatened, glaring at Anna.
"And I assure you I'd never do something so obvious. If I wanted to escape I'd make sure nobody was present. I'm not stupid you know" She snapped back.
"Smart girl. Keep it up and you might just get to see your sister even sooner."
Anna growled with hatred. He was certainly playing off the fact she couldn't see her sibling. And deep down, it hurt greatly. Without Elsa in her life, Anna felt as though a part of her was missing. And Hiccup was keeping it from her.
She breathed in some fresh air, trying to calm her nerves. Her anger had caused some flame to begin gently burning in her clenched fists. Luckily it faded away once she was calm. Though she had the option of fighting Hiccup, it was pretty clear he'd win. If he did, then what? Would she be killed? Would she be punished? Anna didn't know, and frankly didn't want to find out.
A Terrible Terror slunk it's way over to her. Anna smiled, reaching out a hand. The Dragon cowered at first but soon inched closer. It crawled close enough to sniff her hand. Deciphering wether or not she was a friend or foe. Once satisfied, it purred against her. Licking her hand much like a puppy would.
"Or like Sven used to" Anna's mind whispered.
She shook her head to clear the thought. Thinking of home was a bad idea right now. It would only fuel Hiccup's desire to tease her about it. He couldn't read minds, but he seemed genius when it came to sensing ones emotions. Though he was the devil himself, she had to give him credit. He was a very smart enemy. Which only made him even more dangerous.
Anna's eyes ventured in his direction. Hiccup was currently having some sort of conversation with a Deadly Nadder. Unfortunately, she hadn't mastered Dragon language yet, so she didn't know what they were saying. But it appeared to be nothing of serious concern. It seemed like an ordinary talk. Though, she could've been wrong.
Her gaze had lingered too long, however, as Hiccup caught her eyes with his own. That overly cocky and wicked smile appeared on his face. Causing Anna to look away in disgust. He really was the devil. And she hated him like one.
