Chapter 13: Spending time in the woods

"I don't get why you wouldn't be mad at him, Adam!" Quentin protested. They were both sitting down on a log in the woods.

"He called you a cheater. He didn't even trust you when you explained!" Quentin gave Adam a look. "I... I dunno Quentin. I get Tyler's side..." Adam mumbled.

"Adam! You can't let him break you like this!" Quentin declared angrily. Adam just looked down at the grass. Quentin shook his head slowly. "Your so delicate Adam.... You have to teach yourself to change. You can't let people hurt you like this!" Quentin hissed.

Adam didn't respond. "I can teach you." Quentin sighed. Adam looked up.

"It's hard, but I can do it. I can teach you Adam. What'll you say?" Quentin asked. Adam smiled.
"I'll do it."

"Tyler! Come on!" Steve called out. Tyler ran after the guy. "Why are you so slow?" Steve teased, and looked back at Tyler, who stuck his tongue out.

Tyler sighed and started taking bigger strides. Steve looked back to see that Tyler had gotten closer. Steve started running faster, but Tyler was gaining on him. They both bolted into the woods.

Tyler grinned as he was almost an inch from Steve. "Gotcha!" Tyler yelled and attempted to grab him. But Steve instead plunged down to the ground, followed by Tyler.

"Ow!" Steve squealed as he got up and rubbed his nose. Tyler took one look at Steve, and burst out laughing. Steve pouted. "It's not funny! I might have broken my nose!" He protested but that just made Tyler laugh harder.

"Drama Queen!" Tyler giggled. "You pushed me! Wait. Did you hear that?" Steve asked, looking around.

Tyler's eyes clouded with confusion. "No." He said and looked around. Snap! "What is that?" Steve asked worriedly. "Sounded like a stick snapped." Tyler sighed. "Probably just an animal." He added. Steve relaxed. "Yeah." Steve said. Tyler stood up and stretched.

"What should we do now?" Tyler asked. Steve grinned. "I have an idea. Lets play a game." He said smugly. "Ok. What game?"
Tyler agreed.

"Truth or Dare." Steve said. Tyler rolled his eyes. "Ok, fine. Your going first though. Truth or dare?" Tyler explained. "Truth." Steve said. "What are you afraid of?" Tyler asked. Steve groaned. "Spiders." He mumbled almost too quiet for him to hear.

"Really? Your afraid of spiders?" Tyler giggled. Steve nodded. "Truth or dare?" Steve asked. Tyler smirked. "Dare."
