Rei x Reader 'Talk To Me'

Your POV

"Rei-senpai!" you called. "Hm?" he replied, as he turned around to face you. "Oh! Hey y/n," he smiled. You panted, catching your breath. "So. Watch'ya doin'?" you asked. "Just walking," he chuckled. "Also, how many times have I told you not to call me 'senpai'?" he sighed. You shrugged, smiling a bit. "Cause you are my senpai!" you giggled, pushing up your (favorite color) glasses the way he did. He blushed as you did so, and looked away. You sighed. "Honestly Rei. I'm your girlfriend, and you're still acting like we just met! I mean.. Am I a problem to you?" you asked nervously, blushing slightly. "N-n-no!" he stammered, obviously terrified of such a question. You didn't flinch. You grinned. "W-what?" he asked, nervousness clouding his purple eyes. You reached for his hand, and he tensed. "See? I told you. I think we need to sort this out.." you crossed your arms. He looked at you, his gaze hardening, eyes welling up. Your stare softened. "W-what's wrong Rei?" you asked, hugging him. "Y-you're breaking up with me aren't you?" he whimpered. "No! Of course not! I love you too much to leave you," you reassured him. He wiped his nose on his arm sleeve. "Really?" he asked, blush forming from cheek to cheek and across the bridge of his nose. "Of course! I was just suggesting we go to a couple's therapy!" you smiled, tilting your head a bit. He let out a breath of relief. He instantly leaned in for a hug, but instead of smoothly hugging you, he tripped over the mismatched sidewalk, and crashed into you, hovering over you. "Oh!" you exclaimed in surprise. "Ah! I-I'm sorry senpai!" he bowed without getting up, hitting his forehead with yours. You winced with pain. "Gah! Im sorry!!" he yelled, running away. You sat up and sighed, a smile forming across your face. "That boy.." you smiled. But something about him drew you to him. The aoura he gave off lured you in, like a dog that smells a freshly cut piece of steak. He's just having difficulties adjusting to being around girls; since he's been around all guys for the past 6 months. He just needs to practice.

Rei's POV

I ran to Haruka-senpai's house, after I had fallen on y/n and banged our heads together.. I rubbed that spot, inhaling sharply. "Yep, still hurts.." I muttered. "Haruka-senpai!" I called, my voice echoing off the walls of his small house. "Rei?" he called from the kitchen. I followed his voice, and saw him cooking saba. I groaned. I walked up to the counter, bending over with one arm flat on the cold marble, and the other supporting my face. "What's wrong?" he asked, his food sizzling. "I need help.." I sighed, my eyebrows furrowing in a displeased formation. "With..?" he prompted, briefly glancing back at me. "Y/n.. I feel like I'm not.. Good enough for her. I mean, she's my everything! And she even said I act like we've just met.. It's embarrassing, so I wanna try to practice talking to girls," I explained. "And you want me to be y/n," he guessed. "Well.. If you don't mind. If not, I'll ask Makoto," I shrugged. "No I'll do it," he replied, reaching overhead to grab a plate. He lifted the skillet and slid the saba onto the plate smoothly, and placed the skillet in the sink for later. He opened the silverware drawer and grabbed a fork and knife, then sat down next to me. I sighed. "So, what will we practice saying then?" he asked, slicing his saba with a mere butter knife. I chuckled a bit. "Well.. Just ask me a few questions," I replied simply. I had no troubles talking to guys, its girls that i'm struggling with. "Ok then, uhm.. How was your day, Rei-senpai?" he mimicked your speech. I smiled a bit. "Okay so far," I sighed.

After about an hour of practicing, I felt confident enough to speak to y/n. I pulled my phone out, and dialed her number. It rang, and rang, then finally; "Hey Rei! What's up?" she asked. "Hey um.. Would you like to go shopping later today, or something?" I asked smoothly. I did a silent fist bump. 'Doing good so far' I thought. "Yeah sure! I've been desperately needing some new school clothes, I've just never had the time. How does 5 sound?" she asked. I checked my watch with butterflies on it. 4:50. "Yeah, sounds great. Ten minutes to get ready is easy. Which store?" I asked, starting to walk home quickly. "Um, how about that store you guys went to buy new swim suits? That has a mall in it doesn't it?" she asked. I smiled. "Yeah, it does," I responded. "Ok, see you there! Kiss kiss!" she said. "Bye," I responded right when she hung up. I sighed. Wow, that went better than I thought it would.

Your POV

"Wow Rei! You sounded so confident talking to me on the phone!" you complimented your shy boyfriend, as you two made your way to that store you just cannot remember the name of. "Really? Cause, I was practicing with Haruka-senpai," he smiled, blushing a tad. You gasped. "You did that for me?" you sqeee'd. "Why, of course, y/n! You're my girlfriend, I'd do anything for you," he smiled, hugging you shortly on the walk. "Aww!" you teased. "Do this for me then," you started. "What's that?" he aked, turning his gaze to yours. "Talk to me more!" you chirped.
