On a Saturday, Luke would sleep till noon. Today he woke up exceptionally early, for only ONE REASON, Jessie. He promised to go out with her almost every Saturday even if he has anything he had to do on that day.
It was an unlucky day though...
Combing his hair upwards, he got a shock as he was late. Rushing out of his house, he called Jessie, saying that he might be late.
While on his way there, he focused hard on a familiar shadow. It was Bernard. Luke called Jessie and told her that he had met Bernard and named the location. Once Bernard heard the location coming out of Luke's mouth, he threw a couple of punches here and there, catching Luke off guard. Luke immediately hung up the phone call. He waited for Jessie to dial for the cops while avoiding and defending against Bernard's lethal blows. He was about to give in to the odds when he heard distant sirens, closing in on them.
Bernard instantly knew he was in trouble and decided to make an escape. Without hesitation, he took off on his heels but after a hitting Luke a thousand times, he ran out of stamina and couldn't manage to escape. Pinned down by cops, he regretted his rash actions. On the other hand Luke was sent to the hospital with Jessie accompanying him. Upon reaching the hospital, his forearms were applied with creams and the nurses reminded him not to fight on the streets, but Jessie, beside him, knew very well it was not him who had initiated the fight.
The unluckiest thing was that Bernard had been allowed to go home after some severe warnings. Luke was then brought to the police station and questioned. After much talking, Luke told the officers one thing before he left.
'Severe warnings won't help.'
Luke brought Jessie to have some snacks instead of going for a movie, telling Jessie that he will find another day to bring her out for a movie. After eating, both of them went separate ways and went home. Luke's father got worried and also applied some medicine cream onto his injuries. He told his father not to worry as it was only minor injuries, though he needed his father's concern.
Two days past quickly, it was time for school again. Reaching school, he packed up his books for lesson and headed to his class. Tim, being concerned, asked him how he got those nasty bruises on his forearms. He brushed it off, saying it was minor hits on his arms, telling Tim to not question any further. Tim was still wondering about the injuries, but decided not to ask anymore. Seeing Luke a bit upset, Tim decided to cheer Luke up but was caught not paying attention in class and got punished. Luke chuckled to himself, finding it funny.
Little did Luke know that, it was not long before another person was coming along to play the love triangle. Watching Jessie for at least two months, he had planned his moves.

So this is Chapter Five! I have made it longer, like I said, I feel that the previous chapters were short!
