"I love you."

"I know and I love you too but we can't happen. It's too late. My parents have already decided." She croaked out.

She was crying and so was I. The tears slipped down from my eyes but I didn't let it conquer me. Instead I kept trying. I wasn't giving up on us. I couldn't.

"No, we can make it work. We'll both go to them and change their minds or something. I'll do it okay. I need you."

"Justin, nothing we do is going to change their minds. Justin, it's over."

Those words hit me.

"No, no. I'll wait for you. Meet me on top of the mountain we always go to, today at 9 and we'll go away and live our lives together back in New Zealand. Please baby." I pleaded.

She shook her head and let go of my hands and rapidly walked away.

It was 9 o'clock and I was waiting for her to come. If she was, that is.

I looked up at the sky as the tears streamed down my cheeks. I tried flapping them away but it didn't work.

I waited and waited until hours passed and it was midnight.

Then I realised that she wasn't going to come but I'd wait a thousand years...

This was the end but here is the beginning.
