The Fire: Libra's PoV

Chapter 6

At a rest stop, everyone except for me and Queen leave for the bathroom.

"So what was that?" She leans against the van, staring at me shuffling in the colder weather, trying to figure out where we are.

"What was what?" I bounce from one foot to the other, hands shoved deep in my pockets, cold, but refusing to admit it.

"'What was what' she asks? You know what. I mean seriously, that was the 'Jesus' face he gave right before his eyes clouded over."

I laugh darkly at her comment. "That was just a little trick I've taught myself over the years."

"Well, that 'little trick' is going in the book, so what did you do?"

"You have more notebooks than you do clothes."

"That's not the point and don't dodge the question."

I sigh deeply. "I grabbed the part of his aura that deals with memories. I made him relive all of his embarrassing moments."

"Ooo...Harsh... I like. You're gonna have to teach me."

"First lets get your's and Bing's powers built up first, yea? Then we can worry about little tricks like that."

"What about me getting my powers built up?" I turn and see Bing and Kay standing there. "And what did you do? I could feel the power coming off of you."

"She calls it a 'little trick.' She made him relive his most embarrassing moments."

"Wow... Way to steal my thunder Queen."

"You're Tumblr, I'm Twitter."

"You're an idiot, I'm not."

"Ok then. How did you grab his aura Libra?" Kay breaks us up before we even get started.

"You can do that?"

"Apparently so. And I don't really know. I found out I could do it by accident while I was studying someone and since then, I've just practice. It's kinda like a part of my soul reaches out and wraps around it."

"That's very dangerous. The soul shouldn't leave the body early." Kay looks at me, a mixture of emotions on her face.

"Eh...It's just a small tendril of it. Nothing too important."

"Libra all parts are important." Bing takes on the 'mother' personality while Kay frowns.

"Bing's right. You shouldn't act stupid about that."

"Have you met me? I do stupid shit all the time."

"Libra! Language!" They both slap at my forehead at once while Queen snickers.

"Hey!" I duck and hide behind Queen.

"Hey girls. Are you two teaming up on Libra again?"

"Yes. Ginette save me!" I hide behind her as Queen sidesteps, leaving me in the open.

"Oh no. You're on your own." She pats me on the head with a sweet smile and steps around me to stand by Queen.

I gulp and stare wide-eyed at Kay and Bing, who now smirk.

"Get her!"

I spin on my heel and take off running around the small building they have there. "Dammit! I hate you both!"

"No you don't!"

They all laugh as I run, trying not to get caught, letting out the nervous energy we've all been building up.
