Kill me now. I- Shut-up. I bang my head against the window for the umpteenth time. Between bickering over the radio, having to dodge hands as snacks are sent around, and random ass bathroom and snack breaks, I'm ready to get out of this damn van.
"Don't break the window, Libra." I hear Queen murmur beside me. Looking over, she's looking at me out the sides of her eyes, her glasses precariously low on her nose from looking down at the book in her lap. Lord of the Rings I think.
"Ha-ha." I laugh dryly while deadpanning. "You're friggin' hilarious child."
She smirks and I decide to keep going. "No really. You should go into stand up."
"Alright smart-arse."
I smirk as she glares at me. "Yo! How long we gonna be in this?" I lean up between Robert and Jorge. I lost track of our location after Savanna. Kay and Bing are in the very very back of the large passenger van, and Ginette's riding shotgun. Our driver is Agent MC. Or at least that's what Agent W... Mrs. Weaver... Agent Weaver... Dammit I don't know... That's what she told us.
He's a taller, well-built man. Probably in his mid- to late-twenties. Black hair, green eyes, and darker colored skin tone. Seems of European descent. He definitely doesn't have an American accent. He has one older spirit. Female. Possibly mother or grandmother. She's wise and she's hanging around to protect him. That much I know. I kinda don't want to use energy to get more details. Besides, nowadays, I only do it if I'm asked. After shaking his hand, I found he was a strange case. He's an...energizer I suppose. He has an unlimited amount of... aura? I guess you could call it. They can feed off of him for a very long time so long as he isn't all sucked at once. It's not like physical energy or power, he just gives off a surplus amount of aura that regenerates quickly. That could be part of what's keeping her around and why she's so easily detectable.
His eyes flicker to mine in the rear-view mirror. "For a while. You're gonna need more patience than this if you're gonna be an agent."
Oh no bitch you did not. Oh bitch he did...Get'im. The van goes silent, aside from the slight staticky noise of an unknown song on the radio.
"Libra..." I hear Bing say softly in warning behind me.
"Well, you, Agent," I spit out the word as his eyes widen, "certainly do not know me. I have been in this agency and training for this since I was 6 years old. So I suggest that you shut-up, cuz I've seen a lot of newbies like you come and go. And let me tell you- they all had a helluva lot more patience than me." I actually unbuckled and made my way up to the front, squatting beside his seat, and leaning forward to look him in the eye as he watches the road.
Using a trick I taught myself over the years, I reach out mentally and grab a chunk his aura. He tenses up and his eyes glaze over, but the van does not swerve, and our speed does not change. This effects nothing physically. Mentally, the part I grabbed is memories. Basically I'm making him watch some of the most embarrassing moments of his life. Over and over again. I let the clump of aura go and he comes back, breathing deeply and his eyes are wide.
"What-"
"Keep driving." I growl and go back to my seat, passing a shocked Jorge and a quite possibly scared Robert.
I plop back in my seat and buckle back up.
"Um...Well then." Bing says as I bang my head against the window...Again.
