Head cannon that when Percy went missing, Annabeth stole a load of his hoodies to remind her of him. Even though they were slightly too big, they smelt of him, like the ocean, and they made her feel like she had his arms wrapped around her. When he came back, he got annoyed that they were all missing, but they all smelt of her, which he was okay with, and soon, they just kept swapping them over. Percy would get his sweaters back smelling of Annabeth, and Annabeth would take them when they smelt of her boyfriend.
