My first fan fic. Whoop.

Levi

I wake up squinting because the sun shown through my blinds and my narrow eyes were adjusting to the bright light. I've been in the Survey Corps for, I don't even know how long and still haven't gotten used to waking up at 7:00. I get out of bed and put on my usual uniform for the day on. Next I put on the many belts that take forever to put on around my body. They may not look like but they were surprisingly comfortable. Last but not least, my little cravat, which I was sure to flap around in the air to get any dust off of it. After I comb hair and brush my teeth, I walk out of my room and down to the mess hall where I know a bunch of brats were going to be.

I wake up at my desk, my eyelids heavy and refusing to open. I groan as I sit up. I fell asleep at my desk again, with a small wet stain of drool on one of my many papers and books that was on there . My glasses still on my face but crooked. I took them off rubbed the crud out of my eyes before adjusting them.

I let out a yawn and stare at the clock.

'7:20!? I was supposed to wake up 20 minutes ago!'

My body is know wide awake as I rush out of my study and to my bed room which had a door that connected to the hall. I was about to open the door and rush out into the hall when I realized I still didn't have my boots on, or my jacket. My yellow shirt was buttoned up to my flat chest and I still hadn't brushed my teeth so my breath probably stunk.

I quickly button up my shirt and throw on my jacket and my boots. I didn't have time to brush my teeth so I ran to my bathroom and let the water from my sink fall into my hands. I toss it into my mouth, swished it around, and spit it out. I then run out of my bathroom and out into the hall to check in with Erwin.

After I got my scrambled eggs and fruit, I headed to my table where people usually tended to sit a couple of seats away from me.

I sit at the head of the table with four empty seats in front of me.

The members of my squad used to sit there...

People didn't usually talk to me during breakfast, lunch, or dinner. They think that because I lost my squad last month, I was more unapproachable than I usually was and tended to leave me alone. They thought I just wanted to be left alone. At first, I was kind of lonely without my squad, but now that a month has passed, I'm starting to get used to being alone...

I ate my breakfast in silence.

That's when I heard "Excuse me! Comin' through! Excuse me!". I looked ahead of me and saw a few people move out of the way for the one I like to call 'Shitty Glasses'. 'Of course,' I thought 'she always shows up a few minutes before breakfast is over'. As she walks quickly past me, she says her "Hey Levi!" and I give her my usual eye roll. She sat down between two cadets in a tight space and quickly ate her breakfast with the little time she had left before we all have to get to work. She always stays up late at night, busy with her experiments. She barely has time to sleep, bathe or even eat.

I notice that the a few of the cadets at the table she was sitting at had uneasy faces and some even left and started their training early. She didn't seem to care, being too focused on eating. I let out a small huff through my nose before finishing up my food.
