Lokhin swung his sword at his sister, who blocked it with her shield. Every day, the two went through hours of training, thanks to some of Asgard's greatest warriors. They were coming close to the end of their session. Lokhin knocked Lyssa down and held his sword at her. Lyssa breathed deep and knocked away his sword using her shield. Lokhin scrambled to regain his weapon, but Lyssa blocked his path. She tried to hit him, but he used his shield to deflect her attacks. Soon, Loki, disguised as Odin, walked towards them. The two stopped and looked at him.

"Well done, today," he said. "Thank you for your assistance, Lady Sif."

Sif nodded and Loki led his children away. Lyssa made her way to her room. She put her sword and shield near the door and walked to the window. She sat on the window sill and looked outside. She kept thinking about the frozen All-Father. An image of his face remained in her mind. How could her father do that to someone? She loved her father, but she did not always agree with his methods of doing things. Lyssa looked across Asgard, towards the bifrost, where Heimdal the Gatekeeper, stood. She took a deep breath. Her father had told her and her brother that they were never to travel to any of the other worlds. Lyssa stood up and concentrated. When she opened her eyes, she found herself on the rainbow bridge only a few yards away from Heimdal.

"Greetings, Heimdal," she said as she approached him.

The Gatekeeper looked at her.

"Greeting, young Lyssa," he said. "What brings you this far from the palace?"

"I'm in need of our assistance."

"How so?"

Lyssa paused before she said anything.

"I need you to open the Bifrost for me," she said in a low voice, as if for only their ears to hear.

"If I'm correct, young one, I believe the All-Father has forbidden you or your brother to use the Bifrost."

Lyssa looked back at Asgard then at Heimdal. Her eyes began to glow green. At the same time, so did Heimdall's.

"You sure you can't open the Bifrost to me?" she asked with a smile.

Heimdal turned and walked to where his sword stood. He pushed it farther into its post. The Bifrost began to activate.

"Where would you like to go?" Heimdal asked.

"Anywhere away from here," Lyssa said. "I can't stay."

Lyssa approached the Bifrost portal. She looked back at Heimdal. Her eyes returned to normal and so did his. As he began to realize what was happening, she jumped into the portal.

"No!" he cried after her.

Heimdal didn't dare close the Bifrost until Lyssa had reached her destination. If he did, Lyssa would be trapped between realms.

Lyssa had never traveled in the Bifrost before, so she was enjoying her adventure. She looked below her and saw that she was approaching the ground. She smiled. She was finally getting away from her crazy father and annoying brother who wanted to be just like him. Lyssa's feet touched the ground. She began to look around, but could only see dust circling around her. She waited for it to clear. Suddenly, she was struck by a large metal object, causing her to fly backwards. She hit her head off the ground. The dust cleared and, though her vision was beginning to become blurry, Lyssa could hear two voices.

"Jane, what did you do?" a man asked. Lyssa could barely see him. He was a blur.

"I don't know," a woman said. "This always seems to happen though. I should have learned by now."

Lyssa's eyes closed fully and she did not hear any more of the conversation.
