When Lyssa woke up, she found herself in a bedroom that was smaller than hers in Asgard. It had a nightstand with a lamp on it, a dresser, and a small bookcase. Lyssa got out of the bed with a massive headache. She slowly walked to the door and opened it. She found herself in a large open room with pieces of technology lying around. Three humans were working with the equipment. One of woman, who looked younger than the other, glanced up and spotted her standing in the doorway.

"Hey, Jane," she said. "She's up."

The other woman turned around and looked at Lyssa. She smiled.

"Hi," she said. "I'm glad you're awake." She walked towards Lyssa. "I'll get you a set of clothes so you can change. Yours might be a little dusty from your travel."

"Where am I?" Lyssa asked, following the woman into the bedroom again.

"Oh, I'm sorry. You're on Earth, or as you might call it, Midgard. I'm Jane. The other two out there are my friends Darcy and Ian. Their daughter, Emily, is asleep in another room." Jane pulled out a set of clothes and handed them to Lyssa. "Here, you can wear these for now. At least until we can get you some for yourself."

Jane walked out of the room, closing the door behind her. Lyssa quickly changed. She now wore a pair of jeans and a blue flannel. She walked back out of the room.

"So, I have to know," Darcy said. "Are you from Asgard?"

"Yes," Lyssa answered. "I am."

"That's so weird. We know someone who is also from Asgard."

"Really?" Lyssa's father had not told her this. Then again, he never told her anything about the other realms but their names.

"Yeah. He'll be back some time this week and you can meet him then. He travels with his friends a lot."

Lyssa nodded.

"So," Ian said. "What's your name?"

"I am Lyssa Lokilass."

"'Lokilass?'" Darcy said. "Asgardians have weird last names."

"We are partly named after our fathers."

"That makes more sense."

Jane glanced at her in surprise, but said nothing. Instead, she grabbed her keys and motioned to Lyssa.

"Come on," she said. "I want to take you shopping." As they left, Jane turned back to Darcy and Ian. "If Ty asks, tell him I took a friend shopping."

Jane and Lyssa climbed into Jane's car and drove to the nearest clothes store, which was a thirty minute drive.

"Why do you live so far from others?" Lyssa asked, looking out the window at the flat and open land.

"We like to do our research in privacy without disturbance," Jane explained. "My husband and one of his associates came up with the place."

Lyssa nodded. Their family liked to keep to themselves without others to ask questions. Her father was very much like that. He would not allow anyone to question him and his rule.

The two soon arrived at the store. Jane parked the car and the two headed inside.
