Desmond POV:
We waited at the hospital for hours when the doctor finally came out and said
"We have good news Jahlil will make it, we removed the bullet from his chest. Had it been two or three inches deeper he wouldn't be alive. Your son is very lucky but we'll have to keep him here until Wednesday."
Mom took a deep breath and said
"Thank you God! My boy is okay."I want that son of bitches head for what he did but I know God will handle him.
I looked at Briante he was still dejected, still was staring into space only he had this look in his eyes that scared me. "What's wrong man?" I asked. Nothing I'm glad Jahlil is okay but that officer won't be. I looked at him as if he'd grown a second head.
"What does that mean."
"Exactly what it sounds like, Jahlil is my brother and I don't take kindly to those who hurt my family."
"Look nobody wants to hurt that officer more than I do but he's not with catching a case over."
He scoffed at me then said.
"He shoots your brother and almost kills him but he's not worth catching a case over? Desmond are you crazy this is family we're talking about here , you going soft man it's crazy. But if you aren't going to do something about it I will point blank period."
I couldn't say anything to that.
"Take me home."
I complied with him and asked my uncle to take us back to the precinct so we could get the car. He just gave me his car keys and we headed to his house. When he got out he slammed the door shut and walked inside without a word. I was really hoping he didn't do anything irrational.
Briante POV:
I stepped into my room and pulled out my black suitcase from under my bed and pulled out my uzi. I locked in the clip and cocked the gun back. I didn't know where that nigga was but the only thing running through my head was get revenge. Make him feel the pain Jahlil felt. I stepped out into the dark night and started walking to the precinct. I was there in 20 minutes and as soon as I walked up I saw him walking out of the front door.
"Hey, this is the end for you!"
"Who are you?"
"Jahlil's brother."
"Oh shit."
I fired the gun the bullets sprayed all over the parking lot when I saw him on the ground with a bullet in his head I left the parking lot running.
