Hermione's P.O.V
I can't believe that a week has already gone by since I got to Hogwarts. I spend most of my time in the library but today I decided not to go after potions with Professor Slughorn.
I walked to the dormitories, humming to myself. I yawned, I had just come back from the dinning hall. I ate with Luna because Ron and Harry seemed to have already gotten detention for laughing at Professor Filtch when he tried to stop one of the Weasly fire works from setting off on his office. I wasn't sure which one of them had set it off but I was pretty sure that it was Ron. While my thoughts were in the clouds I ran into someone.
"I'm sorry!" I heard someone apologize. I looked from the floor. I had fallen with the impact. I had run into Malfoy. It hasn't been that bad being in the same dormatory as him. Although it might be because when I get to the Dormatory he's usually in his room. I was glad that he was nicer than before, I hadn't exactly enjoyed being called a mudblood almost every day.
"It's fine, I had my head in the clouds. I hadn't been paying attention to where I was going it's my fault, Malfoy," I told him.
"Hey I thought we were on first name bases!" He said pulling me up. I was pressed against him. I could feel his muscles through his shirt, my breath caught.
"Sorry...Draco," I said nervously, why's he making me so nervous?
"It's alright, Hermione. I was up in the clouds as well," he said smiling, making my heart melt. Wait, what? No Hermione snap out of it!
"Well I better get going," I told him walking away.
"Wait!" I stopped, "Where are you going?"
"To our dormatory."
"Well then we might as well go together, for I am going to the same place," he held out his hand, "will you accompany me, Draco, to our dormatory?"
"I don't know..." I told him.
"Please?"
"Alright, I, Hermione shall accompany you to our dormatory," I said laughing and taking his hand. "Follow the yellow brick road! Or shall I say very complicated twisty hallways and staircases." I laughed again.
"Yellow brick road?" He looked at me confused, as we started walking.
"Yeah, The Wizard Of Oz."
"This wizard of Oz must be new around here for I have never heard of a wizard from Oz." He explained, I laughed.
"It's a movie in the muggle world, we watch it on the television. It's like watching someone's memory except it's acted out by real people and it's all fake. They follow and skip on the yellow brick road hoping to get what they desire," I explained.
He started skipping perfectly, "Like this?"
"Yes," I told him and let go of his hand instead I linked his arm with him.
He smiled and we skipped to our dorm, with me humming all the way.
