Vines and branches, what a complicated concept
It may not make more sense because you don't understand it yet
So allow me to explain, and put this in your brain
We're driving on the highway so stay in your lane
Christ is the vine, but he controls the whole tree
This is just a metaphor, not to say He's anything different to me
Everybody talking about black lives and being partial to their race
What we need to begin to realize is that we're all saved by the same Grace
We're the branches, and the vine is necessary for us
We're so lightweight in comparison, He could blow us over with a gust
We're weak like 7 days, but that's why we need love
Just like any human being, man we all need love
We're not all there is that matters in this world
We're held up by eternity, watch us as we soar
Think of a tree, I know it's kinda weird but bear with me
A tree is made up of many different parts, like the roots and the stems
But what do leaves grow on? They're called the branches
But the vine is the source of life, gives it to the branches
Without Him, we do nothing
Let's be real, you didn't tell yourself to breath this morning
Branches grow fruit, but without the vine the whole thing is pointless
The vine didn't stop to ask us our opinion "hey do you want this?"
It's a perfect plan of proportions perfected by the One who has power to publish His plans
It's a contract that's good forever, Derek Jeter
It's crafted by the almighty, no Morgan Freeman
So you see, it's a constant process
Let's start at the roots and forget all the nonsense
