Sooner or later y/n and alex break up and he runs back to his ex? about a few months after the breakup he really regrets leaving and he tries to win y/n back but she's difficult so he really has to work. maybe his pov too? I'm sorry if this is too demanding and specific omg.

AN I kinda have a feeling this isn't very good, IDK it's up to you friends. Tell me what you think. Or don't that's cool too. But thanks everyone for getting me here where I am today. I owe a lot to you guys. Your patience is superb, and you're super cool people. Thanks so much for everything,
I hope you enjoy it. The convos are between Alex and Y/N (right) and Alex and Meghan (left)

Alex's POV

I got a text one morning, waking up from a hangover. It read: Hey, just got into town, maybe we could hang out sometime?

I didn't know who sent it, the number wasn't saved in my contacts, but when I asked Rian, I didn't like the answer I got. Apparently that someone was Meghan, my ex girlfriend. My serious ex girlfriend that I deleted in fear of drunk texting her or calling her. I didn't want to think about her again. She hurt me last time, and plus, I was happy with Y/N.

My heart sped up as my thumbs did a little dance while I was thinking of what to reply. Do I even reply? I decided to call Jack. He'd know what to do.

"What," he grumbled angrily in the phone when he answered. I guess I woke him up.

    "I need advice."

"Alex, it's early, what could possibly need advice this early?"

    "Jack, it's like noon."

    "Yeah. Early."

I groaned at Jack's stubbornness, but continued on anyway. "Meghan's back in town."

"What? Why?" I heard his sheets rustle, probably indicating that he was sitting up abruptly from his laying down position.

"I don't know, but she texted me asking if I wanted to hang out."

"Do you still have feelings for her?"

"No." I ran a hand through my hair while biting my lip. "That chapter of my life is over, I'm happy with Y/N."

"As long as you think you can handle it, Lex. If it starts getting too hard, you can back out."

    "I know. Thanks Jack."

"No problem." We said our goodbyes, and I hung up. I replied quickly to Meghan, telling her I could see her today. When she told me the time, I went to get ready. It didn't take me long, so I left my house fairly recently after that. I met up with her at an old cafe we used to sit at.

When I saw her, my heart sped up. I couldn't help it. I hated the effect she had to me, but I didn't want to let her get to my brain. I couldn't let her fuck me up again. We can only be friends. "Let me get one thing straight," I started, looking at her in the eye. "This can never go beyond friendship."

"I understand," she nodded. We spent the rest of the time catching up, filling each other in on our lives. She apparently moved here for her job. I told her about Y/N and what had been going on recently. She smiled at every word I said, making me feel that special tingling again. No. Not again.

We said our goodbyes not long afterward, and I went back to my place. When I opened the door, I heard the television on, and I peered around to see who it was. "Where were you?" Y/N asked me, not turning around. That's a red flag indicator to tell me she's pissed off.
