My heart sank to, what I thought, the pits of hells where I wanted to sell my soul to the Devil rather than end up in Slytherin where nobody will like me, not even Harry. I glanced up at Harry: the look of disappointment etched upon his face.

Harry, the one who inspired me to be kind to everyone, shook his head and turned away. I felt a prickle in my eye. Don't cry, Lily. Stay strong.

My eyes turned to Hermione and Ron. They had completely different faces. Hermione looking extremely sorry for me. Whereas, Ron looked like he would murder me. I could see Ron mouth something to me.

"We trusted you" Ron turned away to talk to Harry and Hermione just nodded which either meant she was agreeing with Ron, or she would try and see sense into them both. I hope with all my heart that it is the second one.

I physically dragged myself to the Slytherin table and sunk into my seat. Well, this is going to be a long night. I started to stare into my plate; I wasn't very hungry any more.

Once I reached the table, a girl with short black hair came to hug me. She had dark blue eyes, red pouty lips and a small scrunched up nose. The girl was a little bit shorter than me but I could tell that she could be scary when she wanted to. I could tell from this moment that we were meant to be friends.

"Hi, I'm Pansy. Pansy Parkinson. This is Blaise, Crabbe, Goyle, Theo and..."
She obviously looked pleased to talk to me. Well, if I wasn't supposed to be in Gryffindor, then I might as well make friends here with those who actually want to speak to me.

"And I'm Malfoy. Draco Malfoy. Pleasure to meet you." He took out his hand and I gladly shook it.

Draco had nice, soft, blonde hair which fell just over his eyes. He kept using his hand to move it out of his face. This gave him a more confident look.

I look closer to his eyes. They look like grey lava swimming around in his eyes. The colour gave the reason for thinking if you stared into his eyes long enough, you would melt into him.

Draco was about 6 ft and was muscly. I wonder if he plays Quidditch?

I snapped back into the conversation. "Hello, I'm Lily. Nice to meet you too." I glanced up at the Gryffindor table and saw Harry giving me death stares. If this is how he is going to behave, so be it. Two can play this game.

"Why is Scarhead staring at you?" Theo asked.

Theo was completely opposite of the rest of the gang. He looked shy, whereas all the others looked super confident.

His hair hides his eyes. People say this look is messy but it gives Theo the look of being as mysterious as the dark side of the moon.

Even though he is shy, I mustn't doubt him. He was placed in Slytherin for a reason. I wonder why....

"Not really sure." I muttered.

"I bet he is well annoyed at the fact that you are now involved with us. Well, that's if you want to be our friend, of course." Blaise said. Wow, he is quite the looker.

Blaise. His skin was a light, chocolate colour. His hair was black and kept short and neat. He had square shoulders and muscly arms: giving me the impression that he is on the Quidditch team. His eyes were a deep, dark violet and his lips full and pouty.

I smirked at him. "Naturally."

"Brilliant" Malfoy smirked as well and Pansy clapped.

We began to dig into our food. The feast contained everything that anyone could ever ask for. There was: mashed potato, fried chicken, sausages, chips, gammon, cottage pie, lasagne, pasta bakes, roast potato, Yorkshire pudding and much more. I stared at it in awe. Let the hunger games begin.

During the feast, we started to discuss people and the latest gossip on who is hot and who is not. These guys aren't even that bad. They are funny, and sweet. And Pansy is just so lovely.

"Now we have all been fed and watered, we can head to bed. Goodnight" Dumbledore announced. We made our way down the dungeons, which were the coldest rooms that I've ever been in. The Slytherin common room was absolutely freezing: maybe because it was situated under the Great Lake or maybe because they didn't actually start the fire in the magnificently, grand, fire places.

The common room floor was a beautiful, dark brown hardwood with a spacious white rug laid in front of the fire place. The tables were made from a rich cherry wood with an antique look to them. A beautiful white couch sat behind the amazing coffee tables and two matching arm chairs either side of the end tables. The walls were coated in green and silver paint, nicely accenting the Slytherin colours. Along the walls there were 8ft high bookcases filled with all types of books. The ceiling was a gigantic painting of the Slytherin house crest. Wow. They certainly were house pride. All in all, the common room was beautiful.

My dorm room was beautiful too. The walls were dark green with a silver snake pattern on the centre of the wall. There was 4 beds in total, all equally king-sized and looked fun to jump on. On the walls, there was bookcases and wardrobes that were big enough for everyone. I made my way into the bathroom. I wasn't exactly excited about seeing the bathroom. Once you've seen one, you've seen them all but wow, this one was different.

The floor was a beautiful, black marble tile, with shimmers of white in them. The granite countertops held a two sinks, both trimmed in silver. The shower was a stand up cubicle with a glass door. Inside the shower, each wall held a shower head and emmited a nice cloud of steam. I was in awe over the shower but then my hit the bathtub: it's huge!

White porcelain with twelve spouts which each gave different smells and colours. It was a size of a swimming pool, with the beginning of 3ft and at the end of the bath, 7ft. I am definitely going to enjoy using this after my lessons. I can't wait!

After having an hour conversation with Pansy, I finally got into bed. It was the most comfortable bed that I've ever had the fortune to lay in.

As I was laying in bed, I was in a deep thought. Maybe Slytherin isn't that bad. I might even it...

I woke up with the sound of screeching. I jumped out of bed ready to attack the person who was making the horrifying noises.

"Woah! It's just me, Pansy!" Pansy screamed, obviously terrified that I was about to punch her.

"Far. Too. Early." I shouted just to make it clear that if she ever woke me up like that again, I would personally be the one to make sure she has the most painful death known to Merlin.

Pansy started to chuckle. "I just thought you wouldn't want to be late for breakfast-"

"Oh goodness! Did I really sleep in?!" I jumped out of bed and ran into the bathroom to get ready.  Whilst I ran into the bathroom, I heard Pansy laughing. "Shut up, Pans!" And I started to laugh with her.

After I got washed, I put my school uniform on which included: a Slytherin tie and robe, a white plain shirt, a knee length skirt, tights and a pair of plain, black school shoes. I wanted to make a good first impression so I went without make-up.

I went back into my dorm and grabbed my rucksack. I almost walked out of my room until Pansy stopped me.

"What the hell do you think you're wearing?! You look like a loser Hufflepuff. Please change." Pansy ordered.

"I have nothing else to wear that goes with the school uniform code..." I explained rather pathetically.

"Stuff the uniform code. You're a Slytherin. Now you must act and dress like a Slytherin." Pansy said in an angry tone, but once she she saw the sad look upon my face, she changed her tone immediately. "Sorry Lily. You look wonderful. Let's go down for breakfast."

I sighed. She's right. I must change. "Nope. Come on Slytherin goddess. Show me how to become a proper Slytherin".

A massive grin came upon Pansy's face. My face copying hers. " Let's do it."
