Chapter Two

Liam's pov

I can't believe she left with him. What the hell was she thinking? I need to make sure she knows she's mine. As soon as I saw Grace walk in to my office I wanted her to be mine and only mine. She's so beautiful and so innocent.

I'm at some bar because I couldn't get her and Connor out of my mind. Did she kiss him? Did they go home together? I ask the bartender for two more shots. I pound them in a second. My vision is a little blurry and I stumble while trying to go to bathroom but I manage to get there.

As soon as I'm done I walk out and see a group of girls staring at me and giggling. I let my anger get the best of me.

"Good evening ladies." I slur. They all giggle like little school girls. I take notice to this blonde who keeps checking me out.

"Hello miss." I smirk. She smiles and steps closer to me. She leans into me and I feel her lips on mine. I feel nothing like this all means nothing to me. I'm trying to get payback on Grace even though she has no idea of my intentions with her.

"Let's go to your place or something." She whines. I take a moment to think about what I'm doing but my anger and the amount of alcohol in my body gets the best of me. I lead her to my car and I open the backseat.

"We're going to do it here?" She slurs. I nod and shut the door.

Grace's pov

As soon as I get home, Lily is sitting on the couch waiting to bombard me with questions.

"Grace! Where have you been? It's way past your curfew." She laughs.

"This guy from work and I went to grab a bite to eat." I simply answer.

"A guy from work?" She smirks. "Is he hot? Does he have any cute friends?"

I laugh and answer her."Lil calm down. He's pretty cute but he's just a friend. He wanted to get to know me better."

She has a look on her face like she doesn't believe me." Uh huh sure 'just friends' and anyways, how was your first day?"

"Well it was okay. I don't really know anyone except Connor now. My boss is a little weird or something. Like when I first got there he was very polite but then after he seemed all mad or something. He didn't talk to me the rest of the day." I sigh.

"Well maybe he had a bad conference call or something like that. Tomorrow will be better trust me."

"I hope so." I sigh. "I'm going to change out these clothes and we can watch some tv." She nods and I head to my room. I go through my drawers trying to find something to wear that's comfortable. I throw on an old t-shirt and some shorts and I put up my hair.

"Wanna watch American Horror Story?" I hear Lily yell.

"Uh yeah sure! I'll make some popcorn and stuff." I head to the kitchen and put a bag of popcorn in the microwave. I grab us some Dr.Pepper and head over to the couch. I decide to check my phone and I see that I have two messages along with some other notifications.

Unsaved number: Hey Grace
Unsaved number: It's Connor by the way.

I totally forgot I had given him my number earlier. Lily is too focused on the show to see what I'm doing. I check to see how long ago he texted and it's only been 30 minutes.

Me: Hey Connor I had a great time with you tonight. Thanks for making my first day a little easier.

I send the message and go back to watching my favorite tv show.

Liam's pov

*morning*

I woke up with a massive hangover. It takes me a moment to realize where I am. I don't know where I am. I hear someone coming and everything begins to make sense.

"Hey stranger." I hear this girl's whiny voice say a little to loud. I can't believe I got so drunk and that I was so angry that I slept with this chick.

"Do you have some aspirin or something?" I spit.

"Well someone's a little grumpy this morning. You were acting to different last night when I had my mouth on you-"

"Do you have some yes or no?!" I yell and I almost vomit on her after hearing her words. She nods and tells me that the pills are in the bathroom cabinet. I take two of them and look at myself in the mirror. I look like shit and I need to be at work soon. I'm not in the mood to go but I want to see Grace. I'll have her pick me something up to eat. 

Me:Good morning Grace. This is your boss Liam. I need you to pick me up a coffee from Starbucks. Along with something to eat as well. It can be anything, I'm not that picky.

I grab my things and head out of this girl's apartment building. I have no idea how to get to my office from here so I put the address into my phone. It's a little less than 20 minutes. That gives me enough time to shower and get dressed properly.

I speed through the streets and stop by my place. I decide on a simple navy blue suit and head off to work. I arrive just in time to see her arriving. She looks so beautiful today. I quickly head into my office without looking at anyone. I'm not in the mood today to deal with them. I sit down and start going through my paperwork and she walks in. She looks a little nervous. I don't know why she would be nervous. Grace made an incredible first impression yesterday. Crap. She probably thinks I was mad at her yesterday. Well I can't blame her, I didn't even talk her after she came back from lunch with that asshole.

"Mr.Payne here's your coffee and muffin." She quietly says and heads to her desk.
