Chapter Twenty

Justin's POV

"I can't do this any longer. I've been lying to you and myself. I've been trying to force myself to love you, but I just can't. I love someone else." I spoke as kindly as I could.

Selena's eyes filled with tears. She placed her head in her hands. "It- it's Zoëy isn't it." She began to sobbing.

I'm not gonna lie, I feel bad.

"Selena I care for you, I always will but it's just I can't keep lying. I love Zoëy." She looked up at me. I closed my eyes ready for a slap, but instead she wrapped her arms around my waist.

"Thank you. Thank you for telling me the truth." He sobbed into my shirt. I held her head to my chest as she cried.

She sat up slightly and sniffled. "Go to Zoëy and tell her how much you love her." She smiled lightly.

"Thank you Selena. I'll call you later." I returned the smile.

I quickly walked out her house and got into my car and sped off down the street."

Zoëy's POV

The door bell rung. I grabbed my phone off the bed and headed towards the door.

"Aaron you're ear-" I stopped mid- sentence.

There stood the person who I craved. The person I need. The person I want. The person I won't have.

"J-Justin what are you doing here?" I ask.

"I'm here to give you these" he pulls some flowers from behind his back. "and I'm here cause we need to talk." He steps past me.

"Uhm I was actually on my way out." I clear my throat, that had suddenly became dry.

"This is more important than what ever you're doing." He sits down on the sofa.

My heart begins to thud hard in my chest once I take a seat across from him.

"Uhm did you listen to my message?" He asks. I nodded.

"I'm glad you did. Everything I said I meant it." He placed his hand on my thigh. "Zoëy I'm ready to be in a committed relationship with you. I broke things off with Selena and I'm ready now. No more hiding."

"Justin it's not that easy. Just because you- Justin you can't rush things. I said I need time and your rushing that time. If we're meant to be than we'll be toge-" I was cut off by the door bell ringing.

I sighed and stood up walking towards the door, silently hoping it wasn't Aaron.

I opened the door and look who it is, Aaron.

"Hey Zoëy you look beautiful." He hands me a bouquet of flowers. "Uhm it's r-really no-"

"So this is why I'm 'Rushing' it. Yeah okay Zoëy, I understand why you don't want me in your life anymore." Justin stormed out. Pushing past me and Aaron.

As he walked by I could see the hurt in his eyes.

"I'm sorry was I interrupting something?" He asked with his eyebrows furrowed.

"N-no it's fine. Just let me get my phone and we can head out." I said turning back to grab my phone off the couch and I went back to the door making sure to lock it.

"So where we going?"I ask as we wait for the elevator to reach the lobby.

"We're going to Tuscavona. I love their steaks." Aaron said allowing me to step out the elevator before him.
