Chapter Twenty Seven
•2 Weeks Later
Zoëy Braun
"Zoëy hurry up, we have to leave on time, so we can get to check in on time and get the good rooms." My mom said rushing down the escalator of the airport.
"I'm coming don't rush me." I grumble rolling my eyes.
I've had the worst attitude since this morning when I was woken up at four and I was rushed to get dressed.
"Baby calm down." Aaron said placing his hand on my lower back as we stepped off the escalator behind my mom and security. "Don't tell me to fucking calm down Aaron."
"If you guys could walk any slower." my mom complains once again.
I guess you can say my mom isn't a morning person either.
"Let me carry you baby." Aaron squats in front of me.
"Thank you babe." I say climbing onto his back.
"Anything for you." He says as he follows my mom towards the private waiting area.
Ever since we said 'I love you' to each other, it's been different between us. I get that tingling feeling in my stomach more often. I really think I'm falling for him more and more each day.
"Fuck there's paps over there." My mom says walking closer to the security.
Aaron places me down as they surround us.
"Zoëy, where are you going?"
"Samantha when is you new book going to be published?"
"Are you two dating?"
"Zoëy look over here!"
Airport security escorted them towards the exit and apologized for allowing them in.
"I'm going to go grab some coffee from that stand, would either of you like anything?" My mom asked.
"Can you get me some Fiji water, and some Sour Patch Kids." I spoke.
"No thanks, I'm fine." Aaron declined.
I grabbed my phone out the hood of my sweatshirt and plugged my earbuds into the port.
Kehlani's 'You Should Be Here' flowed into my ears. Aaron pulled one earbud out and stuck it in his ear as we waited for the jet to be fueled.
I'm looking right at you, but you're not there
I'm seeing right past you, but you seem well aware
Your body is her but your mind is somewhere else
After twenty minutes of waiting we boarded the jet and took our seats. The caption told us our estimated flight time before we were told to buckle up.
I slipped my shoes off and cuddle up next to Aaron placing legs on his lap. Soon I drifted to sleep as my sleepy state took over.
One Hour Later
"Baby wake up, we're landing in a few." A voice spoke interrupting my slumber.
I groaned, keeping my eyes closed as I slowly sat up.
I picked my phone up off the floor and checked the time.
6:34
"If the flight is only about and hour why did we have to leave so early?" I speak more to myself than anybody else.
"So we can get the better rooms at the hotel." My mom speaks across my me.
Soon the plane lands and we are escorted through the air port and to a car.
