XAIVIER'S POV

I watched Katt struggle to control her anger.

"I hate the media." She handed Heith his phone back and wrapped her arms around her ribs.

"Well, not much we can do now," Jack muttered. He started reading the article.

"'Arising band 'Days Are Nights' hire a lady of the night to keep their needs satisfied,'" He laughed.

Heith looked at Katt. "At least she didn't get a picture of that kiss, right?"

Katt froze and turned her head towards him with a glare on her face. "Yeah, good thing. Especially since we would have to explain that it was a mistake. Right, Xaivier?"

I flinched. She stood up stiffly and stalked out of the room, slamming the door behind her.

"Ouch," I muttered, suddenly fighting the urge to cry.

Raph gave me a look. "Well, you said it first, Xaivier. Maybe it hurt her, too."

"I guess I should go talk to her," I said, starting to stand.

"No," Raph snapped, "I will. You've done enough to her already."

He left with another slam of the door.

Heith patted my shoulder. "I don't mean to do this to you... but Abbey called me earlier and she wants to talk to you."

I sighed. "I guess I should call her, but I don't want to. She's a bitch."

Heith handed me my phone. "Jump on it, bro."

I took my phone and dialed the number slowly.

"I really don't want to do this," I muttered.

I held it up to my ear and waited as it rang.

"Hello?" Despite my anger at Abbey, I smiled when I heard her voice.

"Hey, Abbey. It's me." I held my breath, waiting for her response.

"Xaivier? Oh my God, I'm so mad at you right now!" Abbey yelled into the phone.

"Wait, you're mad at me? I think the only person with the right to be angry is me, Abbey," I said, struggling to keep my voice level.

Jack motioned to the other guys to get up and leave. The door lightly closed behind them.

"You didn't even give me a proper good bye!" Abbey yelled.

I gritted my teeth. "Probably because you were with your fuck-friend," I hissed into the phone. Abbey was silent for a few moments.

"Xaivier," She said, sounding close to tears. "I'm really sorry. I was just so lonely since you were on tour, and-"

"No," I said, cutting her off. "You've been with him since we started dating. The worst part is that we probably went all the way on the same day you and him did."

"Please forgive me, Xaivier... I still love you." She whispered, her tone pleading.

I hesitated. "I... No. No, Abbey, I think it's over."

"What?" She gasped. I could imagine her face turning red when she didn't get her way.

"You heard me. Now, good bye, Abbey. Have fun with that insensitive douche bag. He'll probably dump you as soon as someone better comes along." I hung up.

It felt like something was sitting on my chest. I sat back on the old couch, leaning my head against the wall. I just broke up with my girlfriend.

I closed my eyes and fought against the tears suddenly welling up in my eyes.
