AUTHORS NOTE: I made up all the band names and songs and lyrics because I didn't want this to be a fan-fiction. Any ways, I hope you are enjoying my story.... my writing skills are lacking, so this is the best I can do.
I stood in silence as people walked by. Most of them continued walking, but the rest stopped to look.
"What a fine girl!" A ,man, about 55 cried. I'm pretty sure he was high. "How much for her?" I felt sick. I can't believe that in the city of Toronto there were places and people like this. Richard stepped forward. "Well, I am starting the price at 2000$ give or take." The man laughed. "Too pricey for me, man." I felt anger boil in my stomach. I thought of all the things I would rather be doing right now. Playing guitar was on the very top of the list. I would be playing songs by my favourite band, Days are Nights. I felt a smile forming on my lips when I thought of them. They were all so hot... especially the guitarist. What is it with the guitarist always being so hot?
"What are you smiling about?" I jumped slightly. "N-nothing, Richard, I was just thinking." He scowled at me. "You think a little too much, if you ask me. Your step father told me that you are a genius... when you were 6 you had the intelligence of a 10 year old... is that correct?" I nodded. "But it doesn't matter." He turned away from me. "No body wants a smart girl. Only one that will do what they want. You got that?" I nodded again.
"Oh, what do we have here?" Richard was suddenly very excited about something. I craned my neck, trying to see around his stupid, fat head. Five people walked towards us, all guys. I felt my heart sink. Five guys and one girl... that isn't an experience I want to relive. As they got closer, I could see their features better. They looked so familiar... the one on the farthest left looked like the guitarist from Days are Nights! My observations were confirmed as they got closer. All of them with their perfection...
Richard walked up to one of his henchmen. "Surround them, we are getting a deal tonight!" It felt as though ice was going through my veins. "Richard, you know that these guys are probably broke, so getting them to buy me won't work!" I was desperate. Of course, it would be cool to be owned by Days are Nights, but I've heard that they like to find hookers...
"Don't start with me! I know what I am doing! You will run away from them anyways, then I'll find you again and repeat the process! You are my main source of cash, Katiana, so don't screw this up on me!" He walked forwards and punched me in the face, hard. Stunned, I fell to the ground, holding my already swelling cheek.
"Hey! That's not cool!" One of the band members shouted. I heard their footsteps coming closer. My head felt as though it was going to explode. They surrounded Richard. My eyes swept across them all, and finally rested on the guitarist. Xaivier. My heart pounded hard. His face was... perfection, even when his eyebrows were furrowed in anger. He was staring at Richard with intense brown eyes that ... wow.
"Are you alright?" I looked up at the drummer. His face was filled with concern. His eyes were hazel. I sucked in a breath through my teeth and opened my mouth to speak, but nothing came out. "She's stunned, man. Maybe she knows our band?" The lead singer, Raphael, laughed lightly. I nodded slowly. The other guitarist and bassist laughed too.
"Well, boys, I have a... proposistion for you. This young lady," He grabbed my arm and pulled me roughly to my feet. My knee screamed in protest, and I tried not to cry out. A whimper escaped my lips. Xaivier looked very concerned. "..Is for sale tonight. If you act now, she's only 2500$, no tax, no questions asked." He sounded like a business man. They all looked at each other in confusion. "Excuse me?" Xaivier said, one eyebrow raised. "Are you trying to sell us a human being... like she is an animal?"
Richard laughed with no humour. "I have to make a living some how." The basist, Anderson, balled his fists up. "Then get off your lazy ass and get a job." He said calmly.
I locked eyes with Xaivier. You need to leave now, I mouthed. He stared back at me quizically. I jerked my head sideways at Richard's henchmen. They were slowly closin in on them, getting into a circle around them. His eyes widened as he realized what was happening. He turned to mutter something in the other guitarist, Heith's ear. Heith casually glanced around and gasped when he saw the henchmen.
"Well, it was great to chat but we need to leave now." Heith started walking away quickly, and the others, somewhat confused, followed him. Richard lunged forwards and grabbed Heith by the arms. The other band members tried to pull Richard off, but the henchmen grabbed them. One henchman for every guy...
I looked at these guys, the guys who made me feel like living was possible, struggling to escape. I felt anger boil in my chest. Richard and his damn henchmen ruin too many lives... they need to be stopped. I lunged forward at the nearest henchman, who happened to be the one holding Xaivier, and ignoring the pain in my knee, I viciously kicked his back as hard as I could. He collapsed onto the ground like a sack of potatoes. For a moment I thought I had hit him too hard and killed him, but he sat up, looking dazed.
Richard screamed something at the henchmen, but I was in the zone. I knew I could take them all out. The first one who ran towards me was a big lunkhead. He only relied on his strength. I dodged his first punch with ease and punched him in the jaw. I readied myself for the next one, but suddenly a shock went through my body. Literally. I colapsed on the ground and looked up. Richard had used his taser on me. He began kicking me in the ribs and continuously tasering me. I saw black spots. I knew I was going to pass out, and I was thankful.
Right before I passed out I heard "Alright, stop! STOP! We'll buy her!"
